SIGN UPS NOW OPEN 📣

Our third & final strength program of 2026 is ready to go!

Join myself (Ellie) and Claire (Claire Goddard | Personal Trainer) - although she only really brings the brains and banter to the table this time around 😅 - for 8 weeks of further progression in all of our strength work.

You can catch me getting a taste of the medicine I often prescribe to you, it’s gritty, unglamorous and can 100% be done in your jammies at home. Claire was training for a huge ultra run in the lead up to this so she is coaching me, as if she’d coach you!

Because this is the last one of the year, you’ll have access to it all the way through til December. I’m not telling you that so that you have a way out, but more so to encouage those of you who may not be ready to start in September don’t instantly dismiss it.

You’ll need 2 sets of weights, something lighter for upper body and something heavier for lower body, if you’ve already completed one or both of the previous programs - I dare say you could try to up the weights a little? If this is the first one you’re doing with us, start steady. You also need something that resembles a bench/chair that can hold your weight.

Sessions are around the 20 minute mark, each week you’ll get;
3x weights sessions
1x core session
1x yoga stretch session
To be completed when you can.

The conditions don’t need to be perfect, that’s the whole point of this for us, we simply want to get you moving.

You’ll access the program via Circle and you can complete from home, take us to the gym with you, or even join our gym and use the gear here!

Sign up via Glofox > Store or contact me directly and I can sort you out!

Sooooo pumped for this 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Musings from today’s email ✨

“i’ve been telling her for four years, if you have to force it, it’s probably not right - mostly when it comes to jigsaws tbh and whilst i hear myself saying the words, it’s only been since the beginning of this year i have actually been heeding them.

so when we go blackberry picking she knows that if it doesn’t come off easily, it’s not quite ready yet.

did we successfully harvest tubs and tubs in July last year? definitely. was our haul at the end of the first week of august this year on the meager side? also yes. did we get any “fatties”? no. not one.

the conditions this year have been entirely different though. whilst glorious sun, no rain and long warm evenings have been a balm for our mood, vitamin d levels and freckles, the blackberries, less so.

✨✨✨

all we can do is pick when the blackberry is ripe. it’s easy when things are ripe/right.

✨✨✨

I often roll with the feeling that sometimes we need to give things a little more time in the sun, to harvest before something is ready is to deprive ourselves of the fullest version of something. I reckon this year though it’s a matter of letting the drenching occur - I bet there will be some fatties this weekend.”

Catch me out blackberry picking and you filling the dry well.

When you’re chronically on the edge, it feels like the only option of resting is collapsing on the sofa and not moving for the night, because anything else is just another thing to add to your plate that could possibly be the thing to tip you over.

It’s the pendulum effect I often mention in class and really can be applied to anything, when you’re so far out in one direction (work/stress/burnout etc) you’ll swing out as back in the other which is in this case is a complete crash.

There’s so much research these days about how the key ingredient of improving performance isn’t more training but actually, rest & recovery, so whilst there are many arguments for “you shouldn’t only rest and recover so you can be more productive” or “you don’t have to earn rest” both of which I wholeheartedly agree with. Sometimes the brain needs a a tangible reason to rest.

So, I’m here to suggest to you that a change may well be as good as a rest?

Let your routine slip a little this summer and take the pressure off adding yet another thing to your already busy day, then feel guilty about not making it to.

But maybe within the framework of “a change is as good as a rest” how can you find a place to rest?

It needs to make sense to you, if it feels unacheivable, you’re unlikely to follow through.

Just thoughts to ponder upon, see you on the mat when you’re ready!

It’s the last one for this summer!

This free session is running once a month through summer at Beaumont Park, we meet under the big trees by the corner entrance of Butternab & Beaumont Park Rd.

Bring your own mat, bring your friends and whilst we will of course move our bodies, the best bit (hands down) was lying in the grass en masse, I think secretly we all need to be given permission to do so 😉

Even though it’s a free class, please book via Glofox so we can contact you in the event of Plan B!

Physio-Led Pregnancy & Postnatal Pilates // Summer Program

We have a block of 4 sessions of both Pregnancy & Postnatal classes beginning on August 6th and cost ÂŁ35.

👶🏼Thursdays at 1:30pm | Postnatal Pilates

There’s no doubt motherhood is physically demanding, late night feeds, juggling car-seats/prams, all that time now spent playing on the floor or simply dressing a wriggly baby, these new tasks take their toll on tired bodies!

Welcoming new mums from six weeks post vaginal delivery or twelve weeks post C-Section, this Physiotherapist led class focuses on re-establishing the mind-body connection.

We work on breathing techniques to address some of the postural changes experienced in pregnancy, this helps us lay a foundation to strengthen the abdominals, pelvic floor and improve our spinal flexibility all of which will have been affected during pregnancy.

If you’re ready to take the first steps to feeling like yourself again this class is for you.

Numbers are kept small to allow modifications to be made to your needs where necessary. Babies of course welcomed to join, equally if you get a moment to come alone, this is also encouraged.

🤰Thursdays at 7:45pm | Pregnancy Pilates

Pregnancy takes us through all sorts of postural adaptations as bump and baby grow. Recommended from 20 weeks, experienced physiotherapist Maria will take you through a low impact strength and mobility sequence, focusing on mindful movement, core strength, pelvic floor health and birth preparation movements to help you be at your best throughout your pregnancy and beyond.

Class numbers are kept small so exercises can be adapted to your individual needs.

Tried and tested 🙌🏼

It’s been so interesting for me to teach over the last 6 months, I’ve seen more new people than I have in years. This week in classes we were back bending - something that I actually find challenging to teach WELL. It’s probably because it’s not a shape my body is naturally “good” at (think camel, bow, updog etc), then I tend to overthink it. It literally sounds ridiculous to state that a back bend isn’t really about your back, doesn’t it? But there are so many components to creating a backbending shape, I think it’s important for the mind to be really in conversation with the body on this one, so we layered it in, from hip extension to knee flexion, we separated neck extension from thoracic extension, we also flexed all of these important junctions too….its just a lot to expect of a body that spends a lot of time hunched over a computer, steering wheel or garden stool! With so many new/different bodies in front of me this week it felt like a hard class to deliver, it took a look of energy.

Then this morning, just by chance I had a class that was ONLY students who have been practicing this method for 7+ years. They’ve done some version of this practice many times before, and today they did the work, then ticked off the shapes one by one, with e a s e! Which is the whole point of yoga. I looked at them all in bow pose (on your tummy grabbing feet) and they were in the ASANA! The comfortable seat of it all!

A method is a systematic, orderly and logical process and when you follow the method, you get to the goal. In the PYM world, words mean something, they are on purpose and hold value, language is important for strengthening the pathway from the mind to the body so none of this work is taken lightly - apart from the cramps!

Looking forward to seeing you on the mat soon….ps, don’t feel guilty if summer has your routine upside down, The Method doesn’t change and your body will quickly remember when you’re back on your mat!
