A huge well done to Southside Dining Supervisor, Sharon Rogers, who was a finalist in the Excellence in Support Services category at this year's annual CHuFT Awards. πŸŽ‰

Her nomination highlighted the care and pride she brings to the hospital dining room every day, as well as her resilience, professionalism and dedication to helping others.

Sharon also plays an important role mentoring Project SEARCH intern, with several going on to secure paid roles.

Earlier this week we celebrated our annual Long Service Awards to recognise the 44 colleagues whose combined service totals an incredible 1,337 years!

Their stories span nursing, digital, community care, acute response – to name a few. But no matter where their career has taken them, they all share the same commitment to our patients and each other.

Congratulations to every one of you and thank you!

πŸ€Good luck to all our staff taking part in the 24 hour therapy dash to raise money for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity πŸ€

πŸ’™ | 18-19 September πŸ’™

Therapy colleagues from across our Community Division are taking on the 24-Hour Therapy Dash, keeping a bike, treadmill and rowing machine moving continuously from 9am on Friday 18 September to 9am on Saturday 19 September! πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸš£

The challenge aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity and the benefits of movement for long-term health, while also raising funds for CHFT Charity.

Whether it's walking, cycling, swimming, gardening or simply moving a little more each day, physical activity can have a positive impact on both our physical and mental wellbeing.

If you'd like to support our amazing therapy teams and help us make a difference, we'd love to hear from you. πŸ’™

We're blooming over the moon to hear that our Wellbeing Garden at HRI has been shortlisted in the Landscape Institute Awards.

Funded by our amazing Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Charity, over the past two years its been a place for our colleagues, patients and visitors to recharge away from our busy hospital.

We're so pleased, we may have to do a little (rain) dance!
