It is common to think your face will age in a similar fashion to that of your parents, but your ๐†๐„๐๐„๐“๐ˆ๐‚๐’ are only one of many contributing factors.

Below is a non exhaustive list of some of the others:
- smoking
- diet
- sun exposure
- exercise
- quality of sleep
- mental health
- illness and disease
- aesthetic interventions

You cannot change the genes you inherit, however many of the other factors you can.

Positive life choices show on your face!

Three signs that your filler has repositioned above the upper lip:

1) ROUNDING of the white upper lip instead of the usual aesthetically pleasing curved contour that runs towards the lip border. This can go hand in hand with the upper lip looking hidden.

2) a โ€˜SHELFโ€™ above the lip. Perhaps the easiest sign to spot.

3) you can FEEL A THICKNESS to the tissues above your lip border.

Sometimes filler is placed intentionally above the lip border to address vertical/smokers lines. However, if your filler should be in your lips and is now creating an unpleasant aesthetic result know that you can have it dissolved.

Most of the patients I meet are using ๐“๐Ž๐Ž ๐Œ๐€๐๐˜ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ข๐ง๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ and I understand why this has happened.
It starts with wanting to have or wanting to maintain good skin.

A little scroll on social media will quickly land you in front of an influencer telling you about โ€˜the latest productโ€™ a skincare company has produced or their multi step routine and their glowing skin.

The problem with this is all these (unnecessary) products have the potential to damage your skin barrier and your bank balance.

If your skin is irritated/red/sensitive or inflamed - use a simple routine of gentle cleansing and a broad spectrum protective sunscreen. Ditch the other products. This maybe all you need!

If youโ€™re struggling with a specific skin complaint donโ€™t experiment with a variety of products, seek help from a clinician who can identify the problem.

Mr James Tibbott - he got Simi started on Ryeqo, which brought her daily pain down to a manageable level and allowed her to sit her GCSEs

Mr Griffiths for the endosure test and getting Simran started on Dienogest, plus his support with letters for school to allow adjustments to be made.

All 3 of these doctors (seen privately) listened and believed her, which makes a significant difference when youโ€™ve been dismissed so often.

The Marquardt mask was developed by a maxillofacial surgeon. It uses the Golden ratio to create a template of what proportions make โ€˜the ideal faceโ€™

In this reel you can see it was overlaid on gorgeous Angelina Jolieโ€™s face, but she doesnโ€™t fit the mask. When her face was edited to fit she lost those characteristic features that make her uniquely beautiful.

There is certainly a place for respecting mathematical ratios, when doing surgical and non-surgical facial treatment planning. In my opinion they should always be used as an additional guide not a definitive target.
