This is me……

This is me…… (and my husband in the background) who started making candles as a hobby

This is me….. who sold her house, invested her money into growing her business and helping those who needed her help…..

This is me who in the last few months has moved her business premises, moved house, suffered two difficult losses and is still here…

This is me who…. Loves a Simple life…..loves nature…..loves her hubby and children and pets and family…..loves her business and all the loyal customers it attracts…..

BUT….. this is ALSO me……

Someone who doesn’t feel enough…

Someone who compares herself to others and wonders why she isn’t as far forward as them…..

Someone who can’t switch off from her business despite being on holiday…..

Someone who wonders if she will still be trading in 12 months time….

My reason for this post is that there are many facets….many considerations to being a business owner, let alone contributor to society - what you see is not always what actually “is” …….

I challenge others to put out a “This is me” post….???

Some days you get the confirmation that you have created a really good product - today, a repeat customer has ordered £110 worth of our cleaning products - I will just let that sit with you….. 💕

Thank you to all our customers who have visited in our new shop and bought from us online 💕

I can’t believe we are almost at the end of summer and that can mean only one thing…….candle season is upon us 🕯️🕯️

We have lots of new things planned here at Snug and we will keep you posted….

Our wellbeing candle making workshops are filling up very fast so if you want to book your place - there are a few spaces available on our website (link in bio).

Our autumn/winter scents will be launching early October as well as some new products to add to our cleaning range 😍

And breathe…….

Me, Buds and Alfie are taking a little break……

The past few months have seen so many changes in Snug …..

This holiday was booked just after Christmas and at that time, I hadn’t even thought about opening my own shop, moving house etc, but sometimes life takes us on paths that we did not plan for or expect…..

Me and some of team Snug are spending the next few days in Northumberland, my ❤️ place…..we are attending my nieces wedding on Tuesday and decided to make a week of it, so booked a lovely dog friendly cottage just minutes from the beach - Luke, Alfie and Thor will be joining us tomorrow 💕

Our shop will still be open as usual (Tuesday - Saturday) and website orders will still get to you as quickly as normal because I have a small trusted team who have it covered 😍

Thank you for continuing to visit our shop and buy from us and thank you to all those who supported us on Yorkshire Day- as we raised £270 for Becky Joyce - an amazing Yorkshire business supporting many many homeless individuals in so many ways 😍…..we will continue to support them throughout 2026 😍

We have dropped a few dates for our festive wellbeing candle making workshops onto our website (link in bio).

These workshops will be held at our shop in Lindley for small groups.

Price - £45 per person including mince pies and mulled w**e or fizz 💕
