Well done to everyone who collected their GCSE results today 🎉

Whatever your results, I hope you're taking a moment to recognise how much you've achieved just by getting to this point 😊

And if your results weren't quite what you were hoping for, please remember that your grades do not define you, your future or your worth 🧡

It's okay to feel disappointed, worried or unsure about what comes next. Give yourself time to process those feelings and remember that there is more than one path to where you want to be 🌱

If you feel that your child would benefit from having some space to talk through their thoughts and feelings, you're very welcome to get in touch to arrange an appointment.

Following on from my last post about self-care, I thought I'd share one of the ways I look after myself 💚

For me, it's walking, and it's even better when I'm surrounded by nature 🏞

Here's one of the photos I took on a recent self-care walk 🌞

I always notice the difference after I've spent some time outdoors. It gives me space to think, breathe, and simply be 🥰

It may not work for everyone, but it's something I always come back to when life feels busy 💫

How do you like to look after yourself? 💚

I came across this graphic and thought it was a lovely reminder that self-care doesn't have to be complicated 💛

Sometimes the smallest things can make the biggest difference, and they don't have to be expensive. Often it's the little things we do consistently that can have the biggest impact 🌻

Looking after ourselves can be as simple as slowing down, spending time in sunshine, being kind to ourselves, or reaching out to someone we trust 🌞

Which one speaks to you today? 💛

I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions about this book, so I’m curious to see what I make of it myself 😊

Has anyone here read 'Let Them' by Mel Robbins? I’d love to know what you thought of it? x

Day 4 of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Counselling isn’t about 'having something seriously wrong' with you. Sometimes it’s simply about having a safe, supportive space to pause, reflect and feel heard without judgement.

Therapy can help you:
🌿 understand yourself more deeply
🌿 manage stress, anxiety and overwhelm
🌿 process difficult experiences
🌿 build healthier coping strategies
🌿 improve confidence and relationships
🌿 feel less alone in what you’re carrying

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but it can also be the beginning of healing, growth and positive change.

If you feel ready to take that first step, you are welcome to message me, Amanda 💚

Day 3 of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply pause and sit with our feelings rather than push them away, judge them, or try to 'fix' them immediately.

This can feel uncomfortable at times, but learning to notice, name, and validate our emotions with compassion can help us feel more grounded, understood, and connected to ourselves.

Your feelings are allowed to take up space 🫶

Which of these steps do you find most helpful when emotions feel overwhelming?

Day 2 of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Today’s reminder: check your battery level, you don’t have to be running on 100% all the time 💛

Whether you’re feeling great, just okay, struggling, or completely drained, your feelings are valid, and they deserve attention without judgment ❤️

This year’s MHAW'S theme focuses on taking action for mental health, reminding us that even small steps matter. Sometimes action looks like setting a boundary, asking for support, resting, drinking water, taking a breath, or simply being kinder to yourself 🧡

Take a moment tonight to ask yourself:

✨ What do I need right now?
✨ What would help me recharge, even a little?

You are allowed to slow down.
You are allowed to care for yourself too 💖
