Nigel has been quietly working away on this colouring piece, and we think it’s safe to say it was well worth the time🎨

He showed it to us with a lovely smile, pointing out the details he’d taken such care over. As it turns out, Nigel once achieved an O Level in Art, which made perfect sense the moment we saw the finished piece. The creativity and attention really do shine through.

We love seeing our residents enjoy these moments, especially when they get to share a little bit of their story along the way. A beautiful piece of work, Nigel

Last Sunday afternoon at Hungerford Care Home was made extra special with a visit from the wonderful Kitty Mazinsky πŸŽΆπŸ’œ

In honour of D Day, Kitty treated our wonderful residents to a selection of much loved classics, with plenty of singing along and a few happy memories shared along the way. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying the music and joining in with songs that still mean so much to them.

A big thank you to Kitty for such a fantastic performance. We loved having you with us πŸŽ€πŸ’œ

International Baking Day was a tasty one at Hungerford Care Home this weekend πŸ§πŸ’œ

Our wonderful residents spent the afternoon making one of our favourite treats, homemade sausage rolls. While the pastry was being rolled and the oven warmed up, there were lots of lovely chats about baking at home over the years and recipes that had been passed down through families 😊

The best part was finally sitting down together to enjoy them fresh from the oven, with plenty made to share around the home too. Safe to say, there weren’t many left by the end of the day! πŸ₯

We had a lovely day out with our wonderful residents at the Steam - Museum of the Great Western Railway πŸš‚βœ¨

Gordan, John, Phyllis and Von enjoyed exploring the historic locomotives and learning more about the fascinating history of the railways. We were also able to get up close and look inside some of the beautifully restored traditional carriages, which definitely brought back so many memories and sparked lots of conversations!

One of the highlights of the visit was trying the signal box simulator, where our residents had the opportunity to experience what it was like working on the railways and operating the signals.

John shared some lovely memories from his younger years and told us how he used to sit at the train station with a tick list, writing down all the trains he would see passing by. It was wonderful hearing his stories and seeing everyone reminisce together!
