We are proud to announce that Mr Miakhil has successfully performed his first Aquablation® Therapy procedure at The Fitzwilliam Hospital, marking an exciting step forward in our urology services.

Aquablation Therapy is an advanced, minimally invasive treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as an enlarged prostate. Mr Rasheed Afinowi-Luitz is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Surgeon with extensive experience in surgery of the hip and knee🦵🏻 , including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and partial (unicompartmental) knee replacement procedures, along with ✨CORI Robotics-Assisted Knee Replacement✨.

He has a particular interest in enhanced recovery surgery - including daycase joint replacements - and in complex hip and knee surgery, including hip reconstruction surgery. Dr Saqib has already made a fantastic impression within the local healthcare community, recently delivering his second educational talk at a local GP surgery on Parkinson’s Disease, one of his specialist areas of expertise. The session was extremely well received and provided valuable insights into the diagnosis, management and ongoing care of patients living with Parkinson’s.

A highly experienced consultant, Dr Saqib brings specialist knowledge in general geriatrics, Parkinson’s Disease, frailty management, and the complex needs of older adults, helping to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
