We’re really pleased to share that patients at Hicks Surgery have given overwhelmingly positive feedback this month, with most rating their experience as very good.

Patients consistently highlight our friendly, caring and professional staff, with many saying they felt listened to, reassured and treated with kindness throughout their visit. There is also strong feedback about appointments running on time and efficient care, with quick responses when needed.

We know there are still areas to improve, particularly around appointment access and communication, and we’re continuing to focus on making this better for everyone.

Thank you to all our patients for your feedback and continued support 💙

Being next to water can help children be happier and healthier, but it’s important they know how to stay safe.

Spending a short time talking about water safety as a family can make a big difference.

You can be water smart by accessing practical advice and useful resources on Cambridgeshire County Council’s website, to help you ensure your family has the right skills and knowledge to stay safe in and around water this summer:

💙 Loneliness happens to all of us 💙
Feeling lonely doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. You can feel lonely even when surrounded by people or active on social media — and that’s more common than you might think.

Small steps can make a big difference, like:
✨ keeping in touch with friends or family
✨ joining a group around something you enjoy
✨ sharing how you’re feeling
✨ checking in on someone else
Loneliness can pass, and support is available. You’re not alone in feeling this way.

🤸 Helping you to take care of your mental wellbeing 🫶

One of the best things we can do for our mental health and wellbeing is to be active – it's a natural mood booster.

Our bodies release feel-good hormones when we're active that can also reduce anxiety and stress, and help us sleep better.

Dementia Action Week, 18th–24th May

Dementia is the UK's biggest killer and is caused by different diseases that damage the brain and get worse over time. The symptoms include:

• memory loss
• confusion and needing help with daily tasks
• problems with language and understanding
• changes in behaviour

Dementia Action Week is an awareness campaign which brings people and organisations together to raise awareness and hope for quicker diagnosis and better treatments in the future. Everyone is encouraged to wear the forget-me-not badge and share the stories that lie behind the flower badge, of lives devastated by dementia. Visit https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-involved/dementia-action-week to find out more and get involved.

This Dementia Action Week, 18 - 24 May 2026, we will continue to raise awareness of dementia, the UK's biggest killer, by sharing the stories behind the Forget Me Not.
