Poor sleep isn’t just about feeling tired.

Long-term sleep problems have been linked to serious health risks, including cardiovascular disease and other chronic conditions.

Improving your sleep isn’t just about rest, it’s an important part of protecting your overall health.

Thinking about sleeping tablets?

Before going down that route, it’s worth focusing on the basics.

Improving your sleep environment, reducing screen time, and building a consistent routine can make a big difference. In many cases, these simple changes are more effective long term.

Struggling with sleep?

In some cases, sleeping tablets can be helpful as a short-term solution, particularly if sleep problems are severe.

However, they don’t address the underlying cause. If sleep issues persist, it’s important to understand what’s affecting your sleep and look at longer-term solutions.

Struggling to switch off at night?

Magnesium plays a role in helping the body relax and can support a calmer nervous system, which may make it easier to fall asleep.

It’s not a quick fix, but for some people, it can be a useful part of a consistent night-time routine.

Looking for ways to relax before bed?

Magnesium is often used as a supplement to support muscle relaxation and calm the nervous system, which may help some people fall asleep more easily.

Are electrolytes the secret to better sleep?

They don’t directly make you fall asleep, but they may help with one common issue, waking up in the night to go to the toilet.

Electrolytes contain salts that help your body absorb and retain fluids more effectively, which may reduce night-time disruptions.

Think decaf means no caffeine?

Decaf tea and coffee still contain small amounts of caffeine, which can affect sleep, especially if you’re sensitive.

If you’re struggling with sleep, it may help to set a caffeine cut-off point earlier in the day, around mid-afternoon.
