Two weeks into my programme, I met with one of my clients for her second session.

As we reflected on the previous fortnight, I was amazed by how much had already changed.

After just one session together, she told me:

✨ She’s interacting more with her family.
✨ Her mood is beginning to lift.
✨ Her bedtime has shifted from 1–2am to before 11pm almost every night.
✨ She’s eating breakfast instead of skipping it and has noticed she has more energy.
✨ She’s becoming much more aware of what she’s eating.
✨ She’s trying new foods.
✨ She’s no longer eating every meal in front of her laptop and is making time to sit at the table.
✨ She’s taking a five-minute walk after each meal instead of sitting straight back down.

None of these changes were about following a strict diet.

They came from understanding her body, creating realistic habits and making small, intentional changes that felt achievable.

This is exactly what I want every woman on my programme to experience.

Because lasting transformation doesn’t begin with perfection. It begins with one small change, then another, and another.

And here’s the best part…

We didn’t even check the scales.

Because when your mood is improving, your sleep is better, your energy is increasing, you’re nourishing your body, moving more and reconnecting with the people around you, you’re already becoming healthier.

And that’s the kind of progress that’s worth celebrating.

I’m delighted to be speaking at the next Redbridge Chamber of Commerce meeting on 13th August.

I’ve been invited to share a 5-minute member success story and talk about the benefits of being part of the Redbridge Chamber community.

As a nutritional therapist, growing a business isn’t just about what you know, it’s about the people you meet, the relationships you build, and the opportunities that come from being part of a supportive network.

It’s still early days, but I’ve already experienced the value of being a Chamber member. I’ve had the opportunity to speak at an event, connect with fellow members, begin building relationships that are leading to one-to-one clients, and make valuable introductions to HR professionals. It’s been a fantastic way to grow both my network and my business.

I’m looking forward to sharing a little of my journey.

If you’re a local business owner and have been thinking about joining the Chamber, I’d love to see you there.

Looking forward to connecting with fellow members and meeting some new faces on the day!

Your gut and your nervous system are in constant conversation.

If you’re stressed, rushed, or “on alert” when you eat, your body prioritises survival over digestion. Blood flow shifts away from your stomach. Digestive enzymes drop. That bloated, sluggish feeling after meals isn’t always about what you ate. Sometimes it’s about the state you were in when you ate it.

Try this before your next meal:

Sit down properly (not standing at the counter).
Take 5 slow breaths, making the exhale longer than the inhale.
Notice your shoulders drop.

That’s it. You’re signalling to your body: it’s safe to digest now.

Pair this with this week’s massage technique and you’re supporting digestion from both angles: mechanically and neurologically.

It’s common to struggle with digestion in peri and menopause. Here’s a tip to help your bowel movements if you are struggling.

Of course nutrition plays a big role but you might like to try this massage to help as well as looking after your nutrition.

Remember it’s very specifically from right to left 😊.

Can Artificial Intelligence help us live healthier lives?

At the SIRM College Job Fair, last week I explored how nutrition and AI are coming together to transform the future of healthcare.
Drawing on my own entrepreneurial journey, I shared how good nutrition remains the foundation of long-term health, while AI is opening up new possibilities for personalised support, education and client engagement.

My presentation encouraged students to think differently about careers in health, wellbeing and technology, showing how innovation and human expertise can work together to improve lives.

Whether you're interested in nutrition, healthcare, entrepreneurship or artificial intelligence, this talk offers valuable insights into one of the fastest-growing areas of modern healthcare.

In this presentation I talk about:
✅ My entrepreneurial journey
✅ Why nutrition is the foundation of better health
✅ The growing role of AI in healthcare
✅ How technology is improving client outcomes
✅ Career opportunities in health and wellbeing

What’s the most courageous thing you have done?

I’ll go first….

Some places have a way of slowing everything down.

While we were in India, we spent a quiet moment at Ayirvilli Temple in Chirakkara, a place that has always held a special place in my father-in-law's heart. He grew up here and, throughout his life, has always felt a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility to give something back to the community that shaped him.

As Sukan and I sat beside the waterfall, listening to the sound of the flowing water, it was a reminder that true wellbeing isn't always about doing more. Sometimes it's about simply being still, reconnecting with nature and allowing your mind to breathe.

These are the moments that nourish the soul and remind us what really matters.

Grateful for the peace, the memories, and the legacy of giving back. 🙏🙏

Sorry for interrupting the chap doing his laundry 🙂

There’s something deeply satisfying about stepping outside and picking your own food. Fresh lettuce and mint, grown with care, straight from the garden.

In perimenopause and menopause, supporting the body with fresh, nutrient-dense foods can make such a difference. This helps with digestion, blood sugar balance, inflammation and overall energy.

Mint can be especially soothing for digestion, while leafy greens provide fibre, folate and minerals to support hormones and gut health.

A simple reminder that healing doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it starts with reconnecting to the earth, slowing down, and eating foods as close to nature as possible. 🌱

We’ve been flat out working on the house for the past 10 days, so this afternoon we escaped to the beach for some much-needed downtime.

There’s something special about walking barefoot on the sand, feeling connected to the earth, slowing down, and letting nature recharge both body and mind.
