✨ Canal Vue’s Very Own Commonwealth Games – A Day to Remember! ✨

We brought all the spirit, colour and excitement of the Commonwealth straight to our very own home at Canal Vue! 🎉

Our wonderful Arts and Crafts group got things off to a flying start, working so hard to design and create fabulous, eye-catching posters filled with bright colours, cheering slogans and all their favourite sporting symbols to celebrate the big event. Then it was time for the fun to really begin – residents and staff alike rolled up their sleeves, stepped up and joined in with all the sporting action! Everyone got stuck in, sharing laughs, cheering each other on and showing some fantastic team spirit every step of the way.

It wasn’t just about winning medals – it was all about taking part, having a brilliant time together and making some truly special memories right here with us! 💙

What a fantastic day we’ve had here at Canal Vue! 🌟

Our residents were delighted by a wonderful visit from the children at Chaucer School, who entertained everyone with their impressive recorder performances. Afterwards, they spent time interacting with residents through fun games and conversations, bringing smiles all around. ❤️

We were also thrilled to welcome back Mazie, our much-loved therapy dog, who is always a huge hit with residents and staff alike. Her visits never fail to brighten everyone’s day. 🐾

To top it all off, we enjoyed an incredible ABBA tribute performance, with plenty of singing, dancing, and reminiscing to some classic favourites. 🎤✨

Days like these remind us how important friendship, community, and shared experiences are. Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special! 💙Chaucer Junior School Springcare

🇬🇧 Our wonderful veteran had a fantastic adventure today! 💙

We started the day with a peaceful visit to Swan Lake, followed by a trip to Erewash Museum, where we enjoyed exploring local history and sharing memories. To round off a brilliant day, we stopped at George’s for a well-earned treat.

Days like these are about creating meaningful experiences, celebrating cherished memories, and enjoying time out in the community. It was wonderful to see so many smiles throughout the day, and we’re already looking forward to our next adventure! ✨ Springcare Erewash Museum

🎤🕺 Elvis has left the building… but what a fantastic afternoon we had at Canal Vue! 🎶❤️

Today we welcomed our very own Elvis tribute, and the home was filled with music, smiles, and plenty of singing along. Residents enjoyed reminiscing to the classic hits, clapping along to the music, and sharing lots of laughter together.

It’s wonderful to see how music brings everyone together, creating special moments and memories that will be treasured. Thank you to our amazing Elvis for such a brilliant performance—we can’t wait to welcome you back! 🎸✨

Today at Canal Vue, we came together to say goodbye to one of our own.

Our wonderful resident, a proud veteran, sadly had no family to be by his side. But at Canal Vue, we believe that family isn’t always defined by blood—it’s defined by love, kindness, and the people who stand beside you.

We held a special memorial to honour his life, his service, and the memories he leaves behind. Together, residents and staff paid their respects, shared stories, and ensured he received the farewell he truly deserved.

At Canal Vue, no one is ever just a resident. You become part of our family, and we promise that every person who calls Canal Vue home will be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

He will always be remembered, and his memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
