Honestly, I need to stop having ideas because every single one seems to cost me an absolute fortune… but this one is going to be SO worth it.

When I started planning the new clinic, I didn’t just want it to look beautiful. I wanted to completely raise the standard of what was available locally.

Want cheap lips? You’ll find them everywhere.

Want somebody who understands how to treat a woman in her 60s, without making her look ridiculous? That’s a very different skill.

I said what I said. I genuinely think the way we look at luxury has completely changed.

Don’t get me wrong, I like beautiful things as much as the next person, but these days I’d much rather somebody look at me and think God, she looks incredible than notice the handbag I’m carrying or the shoes on my feet.

And I notice it in other women too.

It’s the skin. The hair. The smile. Looking healthy, fresh, polished and really well looked after. Sometimes you can’t even put your finger on exactly what it is — she just looks expensive.

THAT is luxury to me.

And it’s exactly how I feel about aesthetics.

I don’t want to immediately know what somebody has had done. I don’t want the filler to enter the room before they do. I don’t want to look at somebody and think Botox.

I want to think, bloody hell, you look incredible.

I’ve spent around three years consistently investing in my own skin to get it where it is today. There hasn’t been one miracle treatment or one magic product. It’s been knowing what my skin needs, choosing the right treatments and products, doing things in the right order and, most importantly, being consistent.

Because beautiful skin is built. It doesn’t happen overnight.

So yes, buy the handbag if you love the handbag.

I honestly think this is what the new luxury looks like.

Forget designer bags, trainers, jewellery and Rolex watches for a minute. There is something incredibly luxurious about looking in the mirror and seeing a healthy, glowing face that still looks completely like yours, just fresher, softer and more alive.

So many women come to me saying they look tired, they feel as though they’ve lost themselves a little bit, or that the face looking back at them no longer matches how they feel inside. And that is why this work means so much more to me than simply putting filler into somebody’s face.

Women trust me with their beautiful faces and I will never, ever take that for granted. I want to understand what you’re hoping to get back from your treatment and how you want to feel afterwards, because that matters just as much as the physical result.

This lady still looks completely like herself. We haven’t overfilled her or taken away the character in her face. We’ve just made some careful, considered changes that have given her back a little of what time and life had taken away.

Well… we have a floor. And she is absolutely STUNNING. 😍

It’s made the whole place look so bright, open and airy that, for approximately a few tiny minutes, I completely forgot about the mountain of work still left to do 😩

Four and a half weeks to go, which is loads of time if nobody speaks to me, nothing else goes wrong and I completely give up sleeping. 😂

While the rest of you have buggered off on your summer holidays, posting pictures from the beach and drinking cocktails at 11am, I’m over here having what can only be described as the most challenging year of my entire life!

But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve got some fantastic trades behind me, the vision is finally starting to come together and we’re now heading into the final push.

The floor is down, the place is looking beautiful and we’re another huge step closer. How I’m going to pull everything else together in four and a half weeks is still anybody’s guess… but I’ve made it this far. 😂

I think the beauty industry has been selling women a bit of a fu***ng fairytale for years. That one syringe, one facial or one expensive cream can somehow undo stress, hormones, exhaustion and years of putting everybody else first. It can’t, and I say that as somebody who makes a living selling treatments.

Now, I’m obviously not suggesting Botox can fix your menopause or a skin booster can regulate your nervous system. But pretending that sleep, stress, circulation, hormones and inflammation have absolutely nothing to do with what eventually looks back at us in the mirror is outdated bo****ks too. How we feel and how we look are connected.

Women aren’t simply asking what I can inject anymore. They want to understand why their skin has changed, why they suddenly look permanently exhausted and why the treatment that worked five years ago isn’t doing the same job now. The answer is very rarely one product or one appointment.

Real results come from proper consultation, consistency, realistic expectations and a plan that makes sense for you. Sometimes that means aesthetics, advanced skin treatments or laser. Sometimes it means an hour in the Japanese Head Spa where nobody wants a bloody thing from you. Some appointments create visible change and others help you feel better. Both matter.

LEVEL 7 PENDING… 🎓

I talk a lot about striving for excellence, but I also want people to understand what that actually looks like behind the scenes.

I’m currently completing my ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice. Level 7 is postgraduate education, studied at the same qualification level as a master’s degree. It is the highest recognised level within the current aesthetics-practice pathway, and it is bloody hard!

This isn’t a quick course, an attendance certificate or something automatically handed to you because you already work in medicine. Medical professionals undertaking this qualification have to complete the same required learning, practical evidence and assessments to earn it.

The full diploma represents 660 hours of study and covers far more than simply learning where to inject. It includes advanced anatomy, consultation and assessment, psychology, ethics, professional practice, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers and, crucially, recognising and managing complications.

This is what taking aesthetics seriously looks like.

The industry is changing, and rightly so. We are moving towards greater regulation, higher standards and proper accountability. Hopefully, it will begin to separate highly educated, responsible practitioners from the people offering £70 lips in the back of a hairdresser’s or from a garden shack as though injecting someone’s face carries no more risk than painting their nails.

It isn’t acceptable. I don’t care who that upsets.

When somebody trusts me with their face, that responsibility doesn’t begin and end with the appointment. You remain my client. I will always do everything within my ability to look after you, support you and deal honestly with any concern or complication.

No practitioner can promise that a treatment will be entirely without risk, but I can promise that I will never stop learning, never become complacent and never put cheap, fast treatment ahead of your safety.

Qualifications matter. Standards matter. Accountability matters.
