New exciting opportunity at the surgery

We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, positive individual to join our friendly reception team at Church View Medical Centre.

Working in a small team of 6 Medical Secretary/Receptionists.

As a member of the reception team, you will be the first point of contact for the patients visiting or telephoning the practice. You will need to display a courteous manner, good communication and
IT/keyboard skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt quickly to respond to multiple demands and work well as part of a team.

Very Sadly Lucy leaves us today to move onto pastures new.

Lucy has been a valued member of our reception team for 6 years,. We are so thankful for everything she has done for us.

While we will miss having Lucy as part of the team, we wish her every success in her next adventures.

Today we say a sad fairwell to a truly valued member of the Church view medical team

After almost 12 years of dedicated service Ruth is moving onto a new chapter.

Throughout her time with us Ruth has been an integral part of our team showing kindness, professionalism and unwavering kindness to both patients and colleagues. I’m sure you will all agree Ruth’s friendly smile on front desk will be sadly missed.

This Carers Week, we are celebrating and recognising the vital contribution of unpaid carers across Somerset.

Caring for someone can be rewarding — and it can also be tiring, isolating and relentless.

Every day, carers provide invaluable support to family members, friends, and neighbours who need help due to illness, disability, mental health challenges, or age-related conditions. Their dedication helps people remain independent, connected, and cared for within their communities.

Carers are at the heart of Somerset's communities, often balancing caring responsibilities alongside work, education, and family life. This week is an opportunity to acknowledge their commitment, raise awareness of the challenges they face, and ensure they know that support is available.

During this week Somerset Carers (part of Thrive) is inviting unpaid carers across Somerset to take some time just for you.
