Lose weight.

At first, it’s just going to the gym.

We often get asked what we eat… so we thought we’d give you a little peek inside our weekly food shop 🛒

No perfect meal plans.
No foods banned from the house.
No all-or-nothing thinking.

Just normal food.

If you look through this trolley, you’ll see exactly what we talk about all the time at ALM.

Plenty of fruit 🍎🍓🍌
Lots of veg 🥦🥕🌶️
Good quality protein 🍗🥚🥣
Food that make life easier on busy days ⏰

And yes… if you look close enough there’s a tub of Ben & Jerry’s in there too. 🍦😋😜

Because healthy eating isn’t about being perfect.

What matters is the overall picture.

It’s about what you do MOST of the time.

Focus on getting the basics right most of the time, and leave room for the foods you love too.

Our trolley isn’t filled with “clean” foods. It’s filled with foods we enjoy, foods that nourish us, and foods that help us stay consistent.

So many people think getting results means cutting out all the foods they enjoy, but the truth is that your results are built by the habits you repeat week after week.

When the majority of your shopping trolley is filled with foods that help you feel good, stay energised and support your goals, there’s absolutely room for the foods you love as well.

We kept it local and supported The Hangry Moose and Bank Bar , where there was some darts, a few pints and of course the amazing burgers and fries!! 🍔🎯🍺

These are the moments that matter.

From working out together, to building friendships.

ALM Fitness was built on more than a love of exercise. ❤️🖤

To understand why ALM exists today, you have to go back to where it all started for me.

Long before the dumbbells and kettlebells.
Before the village hall.
Before the sessions, the coaching and the community.

There was a football shirt, football boots and a captain’s armband.

I played for Aston Villa Ladies, and those years taught me far more than how to kick a ball.

It taught me discipline.
It taught me commitment.
It taught me standards.
It taught me professionalism.

Of course, it also taught me the importance of staying active, looking after your health and pushing yourself to improve.

But the biggest lessons weren’t physical.

They were about people.

Sport teaches you how to work together. How to support others. How to show up when things are tough. How to celebrate wins as a team and pick each other up after setbacks.

It teaches commitment, accountability, respect, resilience and the importance of belonging to something bigger than yourself.

It brings together people who would probably never have met otherwise and turns teammates into friends.

Without even realising it, those values became embedded in everything I believed.

And when ALM Fitness was created, those values came with it.

That’s why I’ve never wanted to be “just a gym.”

I’ve always wanted to build a community, a team, a fitness family where people feel supported, encouraged and valued.

A place where everybody matters, everybody belongs and nobody feels like they’re doing it alone.

When you walk into ALM today, you’ll feel exactly what I mean.

❤️🖤 The support.
❤️🖤 The non-judgmental environment.
❤️🖤 The friendships.
❤️🖤 And the community.

One of our members has spent months working towards a very special goal… ❤️🖤

She hasn’t been chasing a quick fix.

She hasn’t been chasing a number on the scales.

She’s been training for a moment she’ll remember for the rest of her life.

Her son’s wedding today.

💍💒

Early mornings.
Tough sessions.
Busy days at work.
Days when motivation was high.
Days when it wasn’t.

It’s all been so she can wear the outfit she wanted with confidence.

So she can look back at the photos and feel proud.

So she can walk into the day feeling confident, happy, and at her best.

And that’s exactly what she’s done.

Today, Tina gets to enjoy the moment she’s worked so hard for. And she’s going to look amazing.

From trainers to wedding shoes. 👟👠

Health and fitness is different for everyone.

Sometimes it’s about being ready for life’s biggest moments.

❤️🖤 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Rob.

Like many people, Rob wasn’t sure if exercise was really for him. He was apprehensive about getting started and unsure just how unfit he had become.

For years, work came first.

But, thanks to a little nudge from his wife Jill (who’s also part of our fitness family) Rob finally did something for himself.

Now, just a few months later, things look very different.

Rob is feeling stronger and finding more energy for the things he enjoys. From DIY projects and gardening, to spending time away with his wife, he’s noticing the difference in everyday life.

But his biggest win isn’t physical.

It’s that, after years of putting work first, Rob started putting himself first.

In his own words:

“Joining ALM has been a god-send. It’s the first thing I’ve done that isn’t anything to do with work for ages. It helps me switch off and benefit my life.”

That’s what this is all about.

Not just getting fitter.

Creating space for yourself, improving your wellbeing, and making time for what matters most. ❤️🖤
