Sometimes the deepest shifts happens when we stop rushing 💜

So much of our everyday lives encourages us to move on to the next thing - the next task, the next answer, the next thing to learn.

But healing asks something different of us.

It asks us to pause. To notice. To listen. To allow space for whatever is unfolding, rather than immediately trying to do something with it.

That’s been one of the threads running through my teaching today: slowing down enough to really be present with another person - and with ourselves.

Sometimes there is nothing more that needs to be done in that moment. Sometimes we simply need to stay with what is already happening 🌿

Behind the scenes at Soulfull Living Academy this afternoon… 📚🪶

I'm busy preparing for this weekend's in-person Hollow Bone Shamanic & Energy Healing Practitioner Training - whilst also attempting to use every last drop of printer ink in Argyll in the process. 😂

🫶This weekend we're moving into Energy Healing & Full Session Structure.

🦌My students have already spent the past few months building their shamanic foundations, working with power animals and guides, learning Soul and Power Retrieval, receiving the Munay-Ki Rites and, importantly, experiencing their own healing and development along the way.

🌀Now we're beginning to bring more of those strands together.

🎆We'll be exploring the energy body in more depth, working with chakras and meridians, learning how to assess what's happening energetically for a client and, ultimately, how to bring these different skills together into a complete healing session.

🙏It's one of the things that's really important to me about Hollow Bone.

I don't want students to finish knowing a collection of individual techniques but wondering how on earth they're supposed to put them together when a real person walks through the door.

✨The aim is to give them a strong framework to begin with and then, with practice, experience and trust in their own guidance, help them develop their own way of working.

💗And while I'm preparing to welcome my current in-person students this weekend, I'm also getting ready for the next Online Hollow Bone cohort.

✨Have you ever felt as though you’ve never quite been the same since something happened?

Sometimes we move on with life, do all the practical things, and yet there can still be a sense that a part of us was left behind somewhere along the way.

🌀In shamanic healing, soul retrieval is a way of working with that feeling of disconnection - helping you reconnect with parts of yourself that may have become lost or withdrawn through difficult experiences, grief, change or trauma.

Here's a snippet of feedback from a recent client

"Thank you so much I definitely feel more like myself . It was like I was in the room but wasn’t if you know what I mean..."

It isn’t about becoming a different person. It’s about coming home to more of who you already are. 💜

Soul retrieval is one of the tools I work with in my 1:1 shamanic healing sessions.

Sometimes the best part of a fayre isn’t what you sell, though it was lovely to see one of my new Drum, Journey, Remember journals heading off to a new home today, amongst a few other things 🥁💜

More often for me, the best part is the conversations that I have 🙏

I chatted with several lovely folks about Reiki-drumming, Munay-Ki, drum birthing and shamanism and things they’d like to explore in the future.

And then one woman stopped to talk about making a drum, asked for my card, saw my name and said I’d been recommended to her re drum making by someone she’d met in Glastonbury two years ago!

Even more amazingly, she lives just up the road from me 😍

You really never know where a conversation, a recommendation or a chance meeting might lead.

That’s one of the things I love about days like today. 💜

Choosing who’s coming to Saltcoats Holistic Fayre with me tomorrow… 🥁💜

The drums are gathering, the suitcase is open, and I’m at that stage of packing where I start wondering how on earth all of this usually fits in the car 😂

I’ll have a selection of finished drums with me tomorrow, so if you’ve been curious about seeing or hearing them in person, come and have a look.

I’ll also have information about Drum Birthing, Munay-Ki and my upcoming Shamanic Practitioner training, but mostly I’m looking forward to a day of conversations, connections and seeing which drum catches whose eye. ✨

Receiving the Munay-Ki Rites is only the beginning

🌱 Each rite plants a seed.

And while I understood that those seeds needed to be grown when I first received the rites myself, I don't think I fully appreciated just how much they could continue to influence and unfold within my life afterwards 🙏

That's why I believe the integration afterwards matters just as much as receiving the rites themselves 😍

💻On a catch-up call with some of my current shamanic practitioner students this week, I asked how they'd been feeling since receiving them.

👀One told me their partner had simply said: “You look different.”

🤯Another described becoming much more aware - not only of the world around them, but of their own thoughts too: “I'm tuned in, and so it's almost like it's guiding me to change it.”

I love that 💜

The Munay-Ki Rites aren't something to collect, tick off a list and forget about. They're something we can continue to work with, explore and integrate.

💗And eventually, if we choose, pass on to others.
