I am an experienced practitioner who offers counselling / psychotherapy from a person-centred perspective. I have particular experience of helping clients with addictions, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and low self-esteem. I also work with a wide range of issues including stress, anger management, assertiveness, bereavement, body image issues, sexual identity and life transition

s. I aim to support clients as they explore their unique situation and beliefs, enabling them to trust and understand themselves better. I help clients to Identify things that aren’t working in their lives and look at how these can be improved, so that life becomes more worth while and relationships with self and others more enriching. I provide a safe space where a person can be listened to without judgement. This creates a powerful experience which can lead to lasting positive change. I have worked as a counsellor in a number of settings including a therapy practice, a care setting, and an addictions centre. Prior to this, I had experience in a range of roles, including as a primary school teacher. I hold a Higher Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, a BA (Hons) degree, an MA and a PGCE. I am a professional member of COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland) and BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and he fully abides by their ethical frameworks and complaints procedures.
