It has been wonderful to welcome so many new families to the Centre over the summer holidays! ☀️💛

We have loved meeting you all, watching new friendships develop, and seeing families and groups supporting one another throughout the holidays. These connections are so important, and we hope they continue to grow. 🤝

With school returning next week, we would like to offer a FREE drop-in play session on:

Come along for some playtime, a chance to relax, and the opportunity to meet and connect with other families. As a new term starts.

There are lots of ways to spend a morning at The Haven Centre 💙

You might start with breakfast or a coffee in The Haven Café, head into the Play Centre for a session, spend some time outside, or stay for lunch before heading home.

You might also simply meet a friend, have something to eat and enjoy being somewhere that feels relaxed and welcoming.

The Haven Café is open to everyone. Families visiting with a child or young person with additional needs are also welcome to use the outdoor play area beside the café.

Looking for a volunteering opportunity that fits around you? 💙

Listen to some of our volunteers share what they enjoy about giving their time at The Haven Centre.

Volunteering can look different for everyone. You might have a couple of hours to spare each week, be looking for something more regular, or simply want to help when you can. We work with you to find something that suits your time, interests and experience.

Our volunteers range from young people who have recently left school to those who have retired, all bringing something different to the team.

The Haven Café relies on volunteers in very practical ways, from welcoming customers and serving food to helping prepare the space for the day. Their time helps keep the café running smoothly and makes it a friendly place for people to meet, eat and spend time together.

🌟Friday Family Drop-In Sessions – A Place to Belong 🌟
Following feedback from our families, we are delighted to introduce our Family Drop-In Sessions at our specialist centre.
These sessions have been created to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where children and their families can enjoy the Haven centre facilities, build friendships, and connect with others who understand their journey.
To ensure every family has the space and support they need, places are limited to just seven families per session.

During your visit, you will have access to our specialist facilities, including:
• A fully equipped sensory room
• Soft play area
• Ball pit play room
• Large open activity hall
• Secure outdoor play space
Our Family Drop-In Sessions are designed to encourage:
✨ Meaningful friendships between families
✨ Social opportunities for children
✨ Parent and carer peer support
✨ Relaxed, child-led play in a safe and understanding environment
✨ A welcoming community where every family feels they belong

There is no structured timetable during these sessions—families are free to explore the centre, play together, relax, and enjoy the facilities at their own pace.
