Last week marked National Volunteers Week, a time dedicated to celebrating the selflessness and dedication of people who give up their free time to support their communities. For Stuart, a dedicated volunteer SAS Wildcat Cardiac Responders with the Scottish Ambulance Service for the last 8 years , this year’s celebrations held an extra special meaning.
Stuart was absolutely delighted to be presented with a certificate of recognition, but it wasn't just any standard token of appreciation. This particular award came directly from a paramedic who had worked alongside him during a recent, exceptionally challenging emergency call.
