We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our local friends at Castle Cluny for kindly donating these beautiful flowers to Grove Care Home 💛🌼

Their thoughtful gesture has brightened up our home and brought so many smiles to our residents and colleagues. It’s amazing how much joy a splash of colour can bring! 🌷

We’re truly grateful for the support from our community — it means so much to us all.

🎨🖍️ Pictionary Fun at The Grove! 🖍️🎨

Who doesn’t love a good game of Pictionary? With the weather not quite on our side this week, our residents decided to bring the fun indoors — and it was the perfect way to keep everyone entertained ✨

There were plenty of giggles as drawings took shape, guesses were shouted out and some very creative masterpieces appeared on the board. It’s amazing how a simple game can bring so much joy, conversation and togetherness 💛🎉

A lovely afternoon filled with imagination, laughter and great company — just what we needed!

🚜🌱 Garden Renovation Begins at The Grove! 🌱🚜

A huge thank you to our Nurse Jackie, who worked her magic and managed to secure us a digger to get things moving — quite literally! 💛👏

It’s an exciting day as we begin the Garden Renovation here at Grove Care Home. First on the list is preparing the ground so we can start building our brand‑new polytunnel. The residents are already chatting about what they’d love to grow, and the enthusiasm is wonderful to see 🌿✨

By this time next year, we’re hoping to have lots of fresh produce to support our chef Cat in the kitchen — from garden to plate, with plenty of love in between 🥕🍅🌼

Here’s to new beginnings, green‑fingered fun and a garden full of future harvests! 🌞💚

🧀🍷 Celebrating National Cheese Day at The Grove! 🍷🧀

What better way to mark National Cheese Day than with a delicious afternoon of cheese and wine? Our residents, family members and colleagues all had a fantastic time sampling different cheeses, chatting and enjoying a relaxed afternoon together 💛

To round things off, we held a cheese‑themed quiz — and as you can see, our deputy manager Stella was the clear winner! She proudly took home a lovely bottle of wine as her prize 🍾🏆

A brilliant afternoon filled with laughter, good company and plenty of cheesy fun!

🥕🌱 Beetroot Growing Challenge – Edna vs Her Daughter! 🌱🥕

There’s a friendly bit of competition happening at Grove Care Home this year… Edna and her daughter are going head‑to‑head to see who can grow the best beetroot! 💚

Edna has been proudly showing off her beetroot so far — and we must say, it’s looking very impressive already! With plenty of sunshine, care and a touch of gardening magic, she’s definitely in the running 🌞✨

We can’t wait to see how both crops turn out… may the best beetroot win! 🥕🏆

🚂🌿 A Fantastic Day Out at Alford Valley Community Railway 🌿🚂

Arlene, Edna, Barry and Eric enjoyed a truly wonderful day trip to the Alford Valley Community Railway 🚂

They had a lovely time experiencing the train journey and soaking in the surroundings, making the most of a relaxing and enjoyable outing together 😊

A special mention goes to the fantastic volunteers, who made the visit even more memorable by kindly treating everyone to some delicious home bakes after the ride 🍰☕

It really was a brilliant day from start to finish, filled with fresh air, great company and thoughtful touches 💛

🌿🍰 Afternoons in the Garden at Grove 🍰🌿

There’s nothing better than spending a relaxing afternoon in the garden — and that’s exactly what Barry, Anna, Harry and Brian enjoyed today at Grove Care Home 💛🌞

With fresh lemonade, orange juice, tea, coffee and of course a selection of cakes, it was the perfect way to unwind after lunch. The sunshine, good company and plenty of chatter made it a lovely afternoon for everyone 🍋☕🍰✨

One of the highlights was hearing Barry’s wonderful stories, including the time he went to see Roy Orbison back in the 60s — a memory that brought smiles all round 🎶

Simple moments, shared together, make our home feel extra special.

🍌👩‍🍳 Baking with Betty! 👩‍🍳🍌

We had an abundance of bananas in the home today… so of course, Betty decided it was the perfect time for a spot of baking! 💛✨

Our residents gathered in for a lovely afternoon of banana bread making, filling the home with warm smiles, chatter and the most delicious smell drifting through the corridors 🍞

Betty led the way with her brilliant baking skills, and everyone enjoyed getting involved — mixing, mashing and sharing stories along the way. Moments like these bring so much joy to our home 💕🌼

We can’t wait to enjoy a slice (or two!) once it’s cooled!

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Africa Day here at Grove Care Home, coming together to enjoy a lively and colourful day 💛✨

The celebration was filled with singing, dancing and the chance to try a variety of delicious foods, exploring flavours from different parts of Africa 🎶

It was a wonderful opportunity to experience different cultures, share in the fun and enjoy time together in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere 🌟

A joyful celebration enjoyed by all - full of energy, music and special moments 💛

🚲 Enjoying Trishaw Trips at Grove Care Home 🚲

We are so grateful for our wonderful trishaw trips, which always bring so much enjoyment and opportunity to get out and about 🌿

Anna, Bob and Harry headed out for a lovely time, taking in the fresh air and scenery while sharing great company 😊

These outings are always such a highlight, creating special moments and allowing residents to experience the community in a relaxed and meaningful way 🌟
