Mixed Media Sunset City πŸŒ‡
Full video on our YouTube Channel!
A sunset cityscape using watercolour, fineliner and oil pastels.
We started with watercolour to fill in the buildings and trees, then outlined these in fineliner once dry. Then we used scribbles of oil pastels to colour the sky, before blending all the scribbles together using a white oil pastel.

String Painting Blobs πŸ”΄πŸ”΅πŸŸ’πŸŒ·
Watch as we create some abstract floral art using string and acrylic paint!
We placed the string in swirls on top of folded paper, then blobbed acrylic paint onto the string, then folded the paper, squishing the paint. We then pulled the string out while the paper was folded (pressing down on the paper as we did so) to create floral shapes and textures on the page!

Dripping Brusho πŸ’§
We had some fun playing around with brusho and a spray bottle - leaning the paper up allowed the colour to drip and flow, which was fun to watch!

Leaves, Seeds and Berries πŸƒπŸŒ±πŸ«
A watercolour and fineliner illustration of different tree leaves, seeds and berries for World Environment Day. We drew out the shapes in fineliner first, then added watercolour on top, keeping the colours loose and flowing.
Search 'World Environment Day' for more information and ways you can help the environment.

Oil Pastel Blending πŸ”΅πŸŸ’βšͺ
A simple oil pastel technique which can help to calm - we scribbled in a square with different coloured oil pastels, then blended it all together using a white oil pastel. The blending is very satisfying and watching all the colours merge and blur together can be very calming.

Watch as we create some abstract art using string and acrylic paint!
We covered pieces of string in acrylic paint, then placed the string in swirls on top of paper that had been folded in half, then folded the paper again. We then pulled the string out while the paper was folded (pressing down on the paper as we did so) to create floral shapes on the page!

Paper Towel Peony 🌸
We followed along with a DIY tutorial video from ⁨⁩ on YouTube to make this orange peony flower out of kitchen roll! We're going to need a little more practice to make flowers as lovely as Asolat does, but it was fun to make, and all you need is some paper towel, string or thread, watercolour/acrylic paint, a paintbrush and a little patience! Check out ⁨⁩ on YouTube for more lovely paper flowers! 🌸

Triple Ice Cream Cone 🍦in Watercolour πŸ’§
Watch as we use watercolour to paint an ice cream cone with scoops of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream! We let the ice cream colours merge together and added sprinkle colours by splashing watercolour on the page. Then we outlined it all in fineliner.
Will you be enjoying an ice cream this Bank Holiday?
