One of the best parts of this week has been catching up with some familiar faces 💛🫶🏻

I met up with a few clients in small groups and it was lovely.

People often say you should keep clients separate but I’ve always seen things a little differently.

Elate Fitness isn’t just about reps & sets, it’s about being there through life’s ups and downs, celebrating wins, picking each other up, and building trust over months and years.
It’s hard not to form genuine friendships along the way, and that’s something I’m really grateful for.

The support you’ve all shown me throughout my pregnancy, becoming a mum, and now during maternity leave has meant more than you probably realise.

Thank you for checking in on me, making such a fuss of Oakley, and reminding me why I love what I do.
☀️

Here’s to a summer of staying connected. See you all soon! 💙

Today was my first proper solo outing with Oakley 💙

Not quite the outing I’d imagined… it was a doctor’s appointment because of a postpartum recovery concern, but I still did it 💪

Thankfully they are not overly worried, but I have a scan at the hospital on Monday just to double-check everything. 🙏🏻

Walking in, I was overthinking everything. Even getting into the lift, I felt like everyone was looking at me.

It’s funny how becoming a mum can knock your confidence in ways you never expect.

I know it’s irrational, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who has felt like this.

Whether it’s walking into a doctor’s appointment, the gym, a coffee shop, or a meeting alone, sometimes the hardest part is just showing up.

Here’s to getting my girl power back 💥 one little step at a time. 💛

Has anyone else ever felt like this? 🙋‍♀️

4 weeks postpartum 💛

I’ve lost weight already, but this isn’t because I’ve been chasing it.

I genuinely believe staying strong before and throughout pregnancy, keeping active with regular walks and cycling, has helped put me in good stead.

Breastfeeding has also increased my energy demands, so my focus has simply been on fuelling my body well, not tracking calories, just eating enough nourishing food and looking after myself.

Right now, I’m not rushing back into training. I’m waiting until I’m cleared to rebuild my strength properly.

For now, my goals are simple:
✨ Fuel my body.
✨ Stay hydrated.
✨ Get outside for a walk.
✨ Make sure I have a shower every day.

Those small habits are keeping me mentally and physically well during this season.

Recovery isn’t a race.
Every postpartum journey is different, and I’m embracing this chapter one day at a time. 💙

A little life update from me 🤍

It’s been a month since I’ve posted, and if I’m honest, recovery from my C-section has been harder and slower than I expected, between healing, sleepless nights, and exclusively breastfeeding, my body has been working overtime.

I have so much admiration for all mums, and even more appreciation now for those who have experienced emergency C-sections alongside breastfeeding and caring for a newborn.

Recovery really is a journey, and I’m learning to be patient with my body.
I’m still sore and only managing shorter walks, but I’m embracing the slower pace and soaking up every cuddle.

One thing that has surprised me is how much I’m loving this newborn stage.

At 36, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but caring for my little boy feels so natural to me. I have so much love to give, and I’ve been incredibly fortunate that breastfeeding has come naturally too.

Of course, I miss my gym family and seeing all of your faces.
I hope you’re all staying active in whatever way feels right for you in your season of life.

I’ll continue to share more of my recovery journey when I can and keep you updated on my return.

Thank you so much for your patience, love and support as I navigate this beautiful new chapter.

And to every mum, wherever you are in your journey: you are amazing.

If no one has told you today, you’re doing an incredible job, and you’re never alone. ❤️

Hopefully we will be catching up over an iced coffee very soon! ☕😃

💙 Meet the newest member of the Elate family 💙

In the early hours of Friday morning, our little boy arrived safely. Welcome to the gang, Oakley 🥊💙

He weighed in at 7lb 1oz and has already climbed to 7lb 11oz thanks to Mum’s good stuff 🥛🤣

His arrival didn’t quite go to plan. After a very quick and scary labour, Oakley was delivered by emergency C-section. Thankfully, we’re both safe, healthy, and doing well, and I’m now focusing on recovery while soaking up all the newborn cuddles.

Thank you so much for all your support, messages, and well wishes. The Elate community has always felt like family, and I’m incredibly grateful for every one of you.

I can’t wait to welcome you back to my sessions with open arms and introduce you to the newest member of Team Elate.
Until then, I’ll keep you updated on our journey and let you know when I’m ready to return.

For now, we’re taking things one day at a time, embracing the chaos, and enjoying every precious moment with our little boy.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us ❤️‍🩹💙

Love, Coach Mum & Oakley

A little update from me 🤍

As I finish up for maternity leave and get ready to meet my baby 🥹👶 I just want to say the biggest thank you to all of my amazing clients for your support, patience and encouragement throughout this journey.

The plan is for me to return in September but I will keep everyone updated along the way.

In the meantime, the unit will still be in great hands with some amazing women holding the fort & while I’m away, and I’m so grateful to have them in the space 💖

My online coaching clients will also still have their plans to crack on with, so don’t worry, I’ll still be checking in 👀 👀 👀 💪🏼

I’m so grateful for this community and I can’t wait to be back doing what I love when the time is right.

Until then… happy training, bring on this next chapter 💫👶🏼 💋
