We are delighted to welcome Dr Wijesekera, Consultant Neurophysiologist to Nuffield Health Ipswich Hospital

Dr Wijesekera specialises in EMG and nerve conduction studies, diagnosing a wide range of neuromuscular conditions—from carpal tunnel syndrome and nerve entrapments to myopathies, myasthenia gravis, and motor neurone disease (ALS), his key subspecialty interest.

He offers a comprehensive range of advanced assessments, including:

💠 EMG & nerve conduction studies for carpal tunnel and peripheral neuropathy
💠 Evaluation of ulnar neuropathy, radiculopathy, and myopathies
💠 Specialist diagnostics for MND and complex nerve/muscle disorders
💠 Advanced testing for myasthenia gravis, including single-fibre EMG (SFEMG)

He supports patients with symptoms such as pain, numbness, weakness, and muscle fatigue, delivering accurate diagnosis and guiding next steps in care.
