🎉 Happy 100th Birthday to the wonderful Freda! 🎉

Freda’s milestone 100th birthday was celebrated in true style at Henley House! 🎂✨

We were honored to welcome Pat, the Mayor of Ipswich, who dropped by to wish Freda a very special happy birthday and join in the celebrations. 🏛️💐

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community, our "100 Years Loved" wall display was a massive success! Our goal was to gather 100 items to fill the wall with color, memories, and love—and you certainly delivered! The display looked absolutely amazing, and Freda was completely overjoyed seeing all the wonderful contributions. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who sent something in! ❤️✉️

The festivities continued with an fantastic party featuring live music from singer Andy Ottley, along with plenty of tea, coffee, and delicious cake! ☕🍰🎤

It was a day truly overflowing with love, laughter, and joy for a wonderful lady. Happy 100th Birthday, Freda! 🥳🎈

: 🚤 Making Waves & Unforgettable Memories!

More of our wonderful residents at Henley House Greensleeves Care had an incredible day out experiencing a wheelyboat trip at Woolverstone Marina, thanks to the fantastic team at the Woolverstone Project! 🌊✨

We feel so incredibly lucky to have enjoyed so many fantastic trips here throughout the summer. Seeing the big smiles and enjoying the peaceful views out on the water has been an absolute highlight for everyone.

Although summer is winding down, the fun isn't over just yet—we have one more trip left to go this year, and we can’t wait! 🚢💙

A huge thank you to the Woolverstone Project, as well as to Paul and Andrea for driving us in the minibus and making these wonderful, accessible water adventures possible for our resident! Your time, care, and dedication mean the world to everyone involved and help create truly unforgettable memories.

👟 Step Up for September: 30-Mile Challenge! 🍁

Calling all residents, families, staff, and friends! We’re coming together this September for a special group walk, and we need you on our team.

Our goal? To walk 30 miles between us throughout the month! Whether it’s a quick lap around the garden, a stroll down the corridors, or a walk together during visiting hours, every single step counts toward our grand total.

How to get involved:

Pick up a form at Reception to log your steps and gather sponsors.

Walk whenever you can around the home or garden during September.

Track your steps/distance on your sponsor form.

Let’s get active, have some fun, and raise support for our wonderful Home

Yee-haw! 🤠 What a fantastic afternoon we had here at Henley House!

The lovely Gina joined us to perform a brilliant Country & Western set, and she had the whole room completely captivated. From classic toe-tappers to heart-felt ballads, her beautiful singing had everyone smiling, clapping, singing along, and moving to the music—whether dancing on their feet or tapping along from their armchairs! 🎶✨

Mixing up sweet treats and even sweeter memories! 🍰

Our Henley House Residents’ Baking Club was in action this week, and the kitchen smelled absolutely incredible. The star of the show? A classic Victoria sponge, baked to perfection.

From sifting the flour to spreading the jam, everyone pitched in. The secret ingredient at Greensleeves Care is always teamwork (with a generous helping of cream, of course!).

There’s nothing quite like coming together to create something delicious—and the best part was definitely getting to enjoy a slice with a warm cup of tea afterward. ☕✨

Ahoy! 🚤⚓️

Some of our residents had the absolute best time getting out on the water with the fantastic Woolverstone Project for a Wheelyboat trip!

From taking in the fresh air and stunning views to sharing plenty of smiles and laughs along the way, it was a truly wonderful day out. The Wheelyboats make getting out on the river accessible and easy for everyone, and we couldn't be more grateful to the Woolverstone Project team for hosting us.
