Balanced Life Reflexology - Alison Crane MAR Reflexology treatments to energise, relax and de-stress. I qualified at West Suffolk College with a City & Guilds Diploma in Reflexology.

Reflexology is a non-intrusive, holistic therapy that is based on the theory that the different organs and systems of the body can be mapped to different points or areas on the feet, hands, face, lower leg or ears. Reflexologists believe that through working these points or areas, they may have an energetic effect on the corresponding organs or systems within the body, resulting in a state of home

ostasis (balance). There is evidence that forms of foot massage existed thousands of years ago in ancient Egyptian, Chinese and Native American cultures, although Reflexology has only been formalized within the last hundred years in the Western world. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists, and am fully insured via Balens insurance. Treatments take 45 minutes to an hour, and cost £35.00. Appointments are available after 6.00pm from Tuesday to Thursday, and Saturday mornings, and take place in my treatment room, in a cabin in my garden.

We shouldn't feel guilty for wanting to slow down, eat good food and keep cosy at this time of year. Our ancestors have done it around the time of the winter solstice for thousands of years. We can now celebrate as longer and brighter days are on their way. If you are experiencing low mood or anxiety due to the reduced access to sunlight at this time of year, or because of the pressures of the upcoming Christmas season, reflexology may be able to help reduce this.
