Training across the built environment is evolving.

For many businesses, training is often driven by immediate need. A certificate is due to expire, a project requires a particular qualification, or someone needs to be booked onto a course quickly.

Those needs will always exist, but more organisations are now looking for support that goes beyond individual bookings.

They need clearer visibility of who is trained, where the gaps are, what is expiring and how they can plan ahead with confidence.

May has been a busy and exciting month across the Citrus Group and we are delighted to share some of the highlights.🎉

On the 12th May, Citrus Group came together to mark Mental Health Awareness Day by wearing green, hosting a bake sale and holding a raffle in support of mental health awareness and neurodiversity. Following the renewal of our corporate sponsorship with The Lighthouse Charity, we were proud to raise over £300 for this fantastic cause.

There were personal celebrations too, as our colleagues Charles and Sadie bought their first home together. A huge congratulations from everyone at Citrus Group. We wish you both every happiness as you settle into your new home.

This month we also celebrated our April Citrus Champions, Ross, Kat and Karla, who were recognised for making a positive difference across our organisation. Well done to you all.

Finally, we would like to give a very warm welcome to our new members of the the Citrus Training sales team, Claire, Lauren and Charlotte. We hope you are settling in well and having a positive experience so far.

Tunnel entry is high risk work and the right training matters.

Our next City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Tunnel Entry and Emergency Procedures is running at the end of May, and places are available now.

No Falls Week is a reminder that safer working at height starts with knowledge, confidence and the right training.

In 2024/25, 35 workers in Great Britain lost their lives following a fall from height. Falls from height accounted for 28% of all worker fatalities, making them the leading cause of workplace deaths.

Statistics like these are difficult to read, but they matter. They remind us why awareness, understanding and competence are so important across every industry where work at height takes place.

At Citrus Training, we are proud to support The No Falls Foundation and the wider movement to reduce falls from height. Training is about more than passing a course. It is about giving people the knowledge to recognise risk, the confidence to speak up and the skills to make safer decisions on site.
