🚨 Assisted Travel Update: Important Info for UK Passengers 🚨

👇 Here's what you need to know 👇
🟡 The UK Sunflower Lanyard is no longer recognised at Aena airports in Spain. Instead, passengers with hidden disabilities can now request Aena’s Invisible Disability Badge.

🔍 What is it?
This badge helps airport staff identify passengers with hidden disabilities and allows access to:
Dedicated security lanes (where available)
Assisted passage through general security

✅ Only one badge per travel party is needed
🗓 Valid for single use on the day of travel
⚠️ Not a fast-track or exemption from security checks

So the lovely folks who run the Marymass every year have asked for suggestions on how Marymass can be made inclusive to all of our families.

A couple of points raised..

🔹️A secure area with fencing with one entrance point that allows a safe space for our little runners.

🔹️An area with reduced noise and busyness to limit overstimulation.

🔹️Even surface for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility.

🔹️An asn slot for the shows for a couple of hours where music was reduced/off to those who who find loud music off putting.

A couple of queries the lovely members had were..

❓️Would you attend Marymass Saturday within a private asn area or would you prefer this to be on a different day?

❓️Within the private area what would you like to see? We have mentioned bouncy castles and messy play. Other suggestions are welcome!

🌟 All Ability Cycling Sessions – Starting Thursday 23rd April 🚴‍♀️

We are delighted to announce the launch of our All Ability Bikes sessions, running weekly, on Thursdays throughout the summer season!

These sessions are designed to give children and adults with additional support needs the opportunity to experience cycling in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment—using specially adapted bikes to suit a wide range of abilities.

We have a fantastic range of adapted cycles available, including:

🚲 Tracer (Trike)
A great option for more active riders. With its low centre of gravity, it offers excellent stability, while the relaxed riding position builds confidence and comfort.

🚲 Fun2Go (Buddy Bike)
A side-by-side bike designed for shared cycling experiences. Perfect for riding with a companion, with adjustable seating and easy access for a sociable and enjoyable journey.

🚲 VeloPlus (Wheelchair Companion)
An innovative wheelchair transport bike that allows wheelchair users to experience the joy and freedom of cycling, safely and comfortably.

💬 These sessions are open, welcoming, and fun for everyone.
