??Are tear trough fillers right for you?

Before any treatment the Doctor does a comprehensive assessment of each patients goals and suitability to any treatment.

Often a patient comes with an idea of what they need/what areas of concern they have. It is then the Doctors job to educate and create a treatment plan that will address the patients concerns. Often this means doing a different treatment to the one the patient may think they need.

With tear trough filler treatment there can be a direct or indirect treatment approach. To work out which is best for the patient, the Doctor will carry out a few simple tests. These include assessment of the patients vector, skin laxity, lymphatics etc.

As a patient you can assess your suitability for tear trough fillers by asking yourself the following questions:
- What is it about your under eyes that bothers you - is it the dark colour or the loss of volume?
- can you correct the issues with makeup?
- Do you get puffy under the eyes in the morning or after drinking?

Do you feel that you look tired under the eyes, do you have dark circles or loss of volume?
