A very esteemed and much-loved American colleague kindly forwarded this to me to share with clients, and I think she's right, this is too valuable not to pass on.

This short video offers thoughtful insight into how emotionally healthy people handle difficult or toxic relationships, with themes of boundaries, self-respect, and protecting your peace. These are issues that many of us can struggle with at different times in life.

If you are navigating challenging dynamics with someone, this may give you something helpful to reflect on.

There has been a lot of media attention recently following an incident at the BAFTAs involving Tourette syndrome advocate John Davidson. The discussion that followed has highlighted just how much misunderstanding still exists around Tourette’s and how tics can present.

This article by neuroscientist Dr Melissa Licari offers a clear explanation of Tourette’s, the different types of tics people experience, and why some vocal outbursts are entirely involuntary. It is a helpful read for anyone wanting a better understanding of the condition.

Today marks 10 years of my supervision Facebook group, which also means I’ve been a supervisor for over a decade now!!
I run both a supervision group and one-to-one supervision; Many people in my group have been with me since the beginning, and it’s become what I wanted it to be, a network of self employed therapist who feel part of a wider supportive group. We got through lockdown together, and many went on to contribute to our book that supports the wider therapy community- this still feels pretty significant.
I’m grateful to everyone who’s been part of it over the years. Here’s to keeping supervision wholesome, supportive and enjoyable!!
