**COVID-19 UPDATE**
Hi all we have some important updates regarding reopening on a phased basis.
Following guidelines from the Scottish government and from our regulatory body, The College of Podiatry, we will be re-opening the clinic on Tuesday the 9th of June for a specific group of patients.
Please note we will only be able to see and treat certain conditions for the time being:
• Painful corns and callus
• Painful or infected ingrown toenails
• Infection or ulceration
• Key workers who are in acute pain
• Patients in high risk groups with foot pathology. This would include conditions such as Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Neuropathy, Neurological conditions and patients taking medication that reduces their immune response.
All patients will be triaged by phone before an appointment is arranged and we will contact patients that fit this criteria who have had an appointment cancelled due to lockdown.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to do any treatment out with this category of patients until our governing body allows. Online bookings remain closed and only new patients who fall within these parameters will be appointed. We will of course update you as soon as this changes.
There are a few changes you’ll notice when attending the clinic. We have put these measures in place to keep you as safe as possible and minimise any risk.
• We’ll be wearing PPE including eye protection, mask, gloves and an apron.
• You will be asked to wash your hands or sanitise using the gel provided on arrival.
• Where possible, you will be asked to enter the clinic alone to limit traffic through the clinic.
• To avoid crossover, arrive right on your specified time. We have built in breaks after every patient to allow us time to clean and sanitise the room. This also means that there will be no crossover of patients in the waiting room.
• If you wish to wear a mask or cover your face with a scarf we would encourage it however they will not be provided.
We appreciate your support and patience at this time.
