🌟 WEEKLY ROUND-UP AT SUTTON HALL & LODGE 🌟

What a busy and wonderful week we have had here at Sutton Hall & Lodge! ❤️🏡

🎶 We started the week with a fantastic sing-along with Jonathan, and everyone had a brilliant time singing along to some favourite tunes!

🍽️ As you may have seen in our earlier posts, we’ve also enjoyed some lovely trips out, including a visit to Toby Carvery and a trip to the fish and chip shop. 🐟🍟

🎲 Back at the home, we’ve enjoyed our regular favourites including bingo, quizzes, movies and lots more there has certainly never been a dull moment!

🎂 We also had the pleasure of celebrating a very special 83rd birthday this week. A huge happy birthday from everyone at Sutton Hall & Lodge! 🥳🎈❤️

🧁🏏 And we’ve been busy in the kitchen too! Our residents have been doing lots of baking ready for the charity cricket event tomorrow. Some of our residents are very excited to be attending, and we’re sure they’re going to have a fantastic time!

Due to our Home Manager taking a well-deserved holiday in September, our Relatives' Meeting has been rescheduled to Thursday, 1st October at 2:00 pm.

We would love for you to join us for a relaxed afternoon of cake, coffee, and conversation. It's a wonderful opportunity to catch up, share updates, and spend some time together.

What a wonderful few days we've had here at Sutton Hall & Lodge! 💙

Even though the weather has been a little gloomy, we've been making our own sunshine with some lovely days out, plenty of laughter, and great company.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed a visit to Toby Carvery, where everyone tucked into a delicious carvery and enjoyed a drink together. It was a fantastic opportunity to chat, relax, and make more happy memories around the table. 🍽️😊

Today (Thursday), we treated ourselves to a traditional fish and chip lunch at our local sit-in fish and chip shop. The smiles continued as some of our residents chose to enjoy a leisurely walk back to the home, taking in the fresh air and each other's company along the way. 🚶‍♀️❤️

It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to get out, enjoy new experiences, and spend quality time together. Seeing our residents smiling, laughing, and making wonderful memories is what it's all about. We can't wait for our next adventure! 🌟

Picnic in the Park – Next Week! 🌳🧺

Join us next week for a relaxing Picnic in the Park at Sutton Park!

We'll be providing picnic lunch boxes for just £5 per person. We'll be meeting from 12:00 pm, and everyone is welcome to come along.

🌻 What We Have Coming Up in August 🌻

We have another exciting month ahead, filled with celebrations, community events, and lots of fun!

🏵️ Yorkshire Day
On Monday, we'll be celebrating Yorkshire Day with plenty of Yorkshire pride!

🏏 Dementia UK Charity Cricket Event – Sunday 9th
On Sunday 9th, some of our residents will be attending the charity cricket event that our home is proudly sponsoring to raise money for Dementia UK – a charity that is very close to our hearts.

We would love for family, friends, and our local community to come along, support the event, and help us raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause. If you would like to join us, please speak to Jade or Julie, who will be happy to provide more information, including what time we'll be leaving the home.

😴 National Lazy Day
It's time to relax! Residents and staff will be spending the day in their pyjamas for a fun, cosy, and chilled-out day together.

⛪ Monthly Church Service
We'll also be holding our monthly church service, giving everyone the opportunity to come together for reflection, prayer, and fellowship.

🥓 Blue Light Breakfast
Our popular Blue Light Breakfast is back! We look forward to welcoming our local emergency services and showing our appreciation for everything they do.

🐶 International Dog Day
To celebrate International Dog Day, we'll be joined by some very special furry friends for a wonderful dog therapy session. We know our residents always enjoy the cuddles and companionship!

🦸 Superhero Day
To round off the month, we'll be celebrating our annual Superhero Day.

This is one of our favourite events of the year as we recognise the real superheroes in our home. Working in care is incredibly rewarding but also comes with its challenges, and this day is our chance to celebrate our amazing, dedicated staff, as well as the many healthcare professionals who support our residents throughout the year.

Here's to another fantastic month full of fun, friendship, and making wonderful memories together! 💛

🌟 Weekly Round-Up 🌟

What a fun-filled week we've had!

We kicked things off with our Blue Light Breakfast, where we also took the opportunity to celebrate our amazing, hardworking staff. A huge thank you to each and every one of you for everything you do! 💙

We then followed this with our Coffee Morning. Thank you to all of our wonderful families who came along to visit it was lovely to spend time together. ☕💛

Throughout the week, we've enjoyed some of our favourite activities, including bingo, arts and crafts, and a games morning with dominoes, jigsaws, and our new favourite, Pop the Pirate! We also kept active with our weekly armchair exercises. 🎨🧩🏴‍☠️

Our Ladies' and Gents' Club was another highlight of the week, complete with a cheeky tipple, plenty of laughter, and wonderful company. 🥂😊

Today's the day!

Join us this morning for our Blue Light Breakfast, followed by our Coffee Morning as we celebrate National Friendship Day. 🥰

Whether you're popping in for breakfast, a coffee, or staying for a chat, we'd love to see you. It's a great opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new people, and enjoy a welcoming morning together.

This morning we had a lovely visit to our local cricket club, who were hosting a community coffee morning. It was a fantastic way to spend the morning, enjoying plenty of tea, coffee, great conversation, and of course, a slice of delicious cake! ☕🍰

It was wonderful to be invited along and to be part of such a welcoming community event. As an added bonus, we even brought some cake back for everyone else to enjoy!

A big thank you to everyone who made us feel so welcome. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 💙
