Jenni MacNeillie - The Highland Healer

Jenni MacNeillie - The Highland Healer I am a Trauma Informed Therapist for Animals and People to me it is the barrier to the emotion. It is based on the principle of ‘like cures like’.

I help Animals & People re connect through Animal Communication, Attuned Healing, releasing hidden blocks, Tension and unwanted behaviours creating a deeper bond and trust allowing harmony to grow. Animal Communication
I start all therapy sessions by talking to the horse and asking if they would like my help. I then carry on communicating with the horse and locating in their body where the emotions are held from past trauma. I then explain to the horses owner exactly where the horse is stiff, which would be the better rein, I tell them the character and personality of their horse
I then start to heal the area. It is like a rose with layers of petals the first layer is the energy block in the body, you heal the block which is their for protection it enables the horse to put up a barrier to stop the pain, their owners see this barrier as a bite, kick, anger, miserable etc. Reiki
Reiki has its origins in Buddhism and ancient healing methods of the Far East. A non invasive light touch is applied to specific areas of the body, with the aim of relaxing both body and mind; helping to balance the body's energy systems and promote a positive change in overall wellbeing. Merishia Animal massage
This Massage technique is performed using effective techniques which can be a benefit to animals of all ages and abilities. From your quiet hacking pony to your high level competition horse, from your family pet to your competition dog. This massage technique can release tension and stress to return your animal to their former health and performance. Even the smallest change of behaviour can be a sympton or discomfort, pain or stress. Merishia animal massage stimulates the blood flow which aids the removal and help prevent the build up of toxins in the body. Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a natural form of medicine used by over 200 million people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions. In other words, a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if taken in large amounts. 🐾 Rescue. Love. Heal. A Second Chance Can Change Everything 🐾

We have always chosen to rescue and adopt animals who need a home. Every one of them has come into our lives with their own story — some heartbreaking, some simply through circumstances beyond their control — but every story has made us love them even more.

There is something incredibly special about watching a rescue animal begin to realise that they are finally safe.
Watching the fear slowly disappear.
Seeing their confidence grow.
Watching them discover new places, new experiences and new adventures.
Seeing their personalities blossom as they begin to understand that this really is home. ❤️
They learn that hands can be gentle.
That food will always be there.
That they have somewhere warm and safe to sleep.
That they don't need to worry about what tomorrow might bring.
And most importantly, they learn what it feels like to be loved unconditionally.

Gracie and Cleo had very different beginnings. Gracie came from a life where she had known very little kindness and had so much to learn about people and the outside world. Cleo was born in rescue and had never experienced the world beyond the rescue centre.
Today, they explore the Scottish Highlands, go on adventures, make us laugh every single day and live their lives surrounded by love and safety.
And somehow, knowing where their stories began makes watching them enjoy their lives now even more precious.

So if you're ever thinking about welcoming another animal into your family, please consider rescue first.
Take a look at your local rescue and rehoming centres. Behind those kennel doors, stable doors and pens are incredible animals of all ages, shapes, sizes and personalities, simply waiting for someone to see them.

Someone to say...
"You're coming home with me."
You may not know everything about their past, but you can become the most important part of their future.
Adopting one animal won't change the whole world — but for that one animal, their whole world changes. ❤️
Give them time.
Give them patience.
Give them safety.
Give them love.
And just watch them bloom. 🌱🐾
Rescue gives them a tomorrow.
Love gives them a life.
And in return, they give us more than we could ever imagine.

With love,
Jenni 🐾

💔 GRIEF HAS NO ONE WAY — AND THAT IS TRUE FOR ANIMALS TOO 🐴🌈

Recently, we lost a very much loved, older pony from our herd.

As heartbreaking as his passing was, something else deeply touched me — watching the other horses grieve.

It reminded me once again just how important it is that we allow animals the time, space and freedom to grieve in their own way.

We often expect animals to simply carry on after losing a companion. We remove the body, return to their normal routine and assume that because they cannot tell us how they feel, they don't understand what has happened.

But they do.

And just like us, every animal grieves differently.

I watched one of our horses experience what looked very much like anger. There was frustration, agitation and a completely different energy within them.

Another seemed to experience disconnection. Almost as though they had withdrawn from the world around them, processing the loss in their own way.

And then there was another who simply wouldn't leave the body.

For hours upon hours, they stayed beside their friend.

Standing quietly.

Watching.

Waiting.

Heartbroken. 💔

There was no rushing them.

No telling them it was time to move on.

They were simply given the opportunity to say goodbye.

And perhaps that is one of the greatest gifts we can give an animal who has lost someone they love.

The opportunity to understand.

The opportunity to see, smell and process the loss.

The opportunity to grieve.

Animals don't all show grief through obvious sadness. Some become quiet. Some withdraw. Some become unsettled or angry. Some may search for their companion. Some change their eating or sleeping patterns. Some become incredibly clingy, while others seem to disconnect completely.

None of these responses mean they are grieving incorrectly.

They are simply their way of grieving. 🐾

As humans, we sometimes want to fix grief. We want to make it better, make the pain go away and get everything back to normal.

But grief isn't something that needs fixing.

It needs space.

It needs patience.

It needs understanding.

And animals deserve that same compassion.

When we allow them to grieve rather than immediately distracting them or expecting them to "get over it", we are acknowledging that their relationships matter.

Because they do form deep bonds.

They have friendships.

They have family.

They have memories.

They miss one another.

And they feel loss.

Watching our herd grieve has been incredibly painful, but it has also been a profound reminder of how deeply animals feel and how much we can learn from simply being present with them.

Sometimes the most healing thing we can do is not try to take their grief away.

Sometimes we just need to stand beside them and say, in our own way:

"I know. I understand. Take as long as you need. I'm here." ❤️

🌈 Let animals grieve. Let them process. Let them say goodbye.

Their hearts are far bigger and their emotional worlds far deeper than we sometimes give them credit for.

And sometimes, in allowing them to grieve, we honour not only the life they have lost — but the beautiful relationship they shared.

Murphy was 38yrs old and such a wise soul. He was a huge part of our herd who are all feeling his loss. Of course we are supporting them all giving healing when you ask for it 🐴❤️🐾

How often do we say or do we hear "I'm fine"

If you say it in front of me, then I will definitely be questioning you to check if you really are fine.

So often we hide behind the words "i''m fine" putting a smile on our faces while hurting inside..

Help is here in my work, even if its just talking through things

Sadly the world said goodbye to a huge personality. Who helped the equine world to start to listen and work with horses in a different way.

Monty Roberts has been a huge part of my childhood as well as my career as I am sure many can say this.

I grew up around his methods and was lucky enough to work along side one of his incredible instructors Maya Horsey who taught me so much and I will forever be greatful to her. Sadly I also saw the down side and experienced the worst of his instructors where I saw the worst of abuse, which was a very difficult time in my life.

There is good and bad in everything in life and the equine world is no different. Weather you agree or disagree with Montys methods he was the one of first to introduce the industry to a new way which challenged everything people had known for so many years.

We are all learning every day and knowing what i know now I dont use join in the way the i was taught by Monty, I use my own gifts to listen to each horse and meet them as a partnership. Never using dominance.

If you can take anything from his work let be... to listen to your horses And to ask different questions!

All my thoughts are with his family and friends as I know he had so many loved ones. I am also sending healing to them all.
