βοΈ The sunshine is set to continue this weekend, so it's the perfect time to remember a few simple ways to stay safe in the heat. π‘οΈπ
As temperatures rise, taking a few extra precautions can help keep you and those around you safe and well:
π§ Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day
π§ Stay as cool as possible by keeping curtains closed during the hottest part of the day and opening windows when it's cooler outside
π Wear lightweight clothing and avoid strenuous activities during peak heat
π³ If you're outdoors, seek shade regularly and don't forget your sunscreen
β€οΈ Check in on elderly neighbours, family members, friends, and anyone who may be more vulnerable in the hot weather
π Never leave children, older people, or pets in a parked car β even for a short time
A huge thank you goes to our incredible care team, who continue to provide outstanding support throughout the warmer weather. π
Whether it's making sure our clients stay cool, encouraging regular hydration, supporting them to stay comfortable, or simply being there with a friendly smile, your dedication and compassion never go unnoticed. We are so grateful for everything you do, whatever the weather. π
Let's all look after one another this weekend and enjoy the sunshine safely. βοΈ
