Hypnobirthing...taking the fear out of giving birth, empowering you along the way...to make informed choices based on knowledge, information and research not on fear! Book for Hypnobirthing classes now on a One to One basis or small group classes. Why choose Hypnobirthing? Because you will learn how to relax, have fun and learn a lot too! When the word "Hypnobirthing" first came out a few years ago, many midwives wondered what it was all about, thinking it was a new craze...but really it has always been around it's about going back to basics! Many midwives are amazed at how calm and focused Hypnobirthing mothers and their birth partners are during established labour! I cannot promise you the perfect birth experience, no one can, however together we can work towards the best birth for you, which often turns out to be better than you could have hoped for and in a more controlled and relaxed manner. During the Hypnobirthing classes you will learn:

Anatomy & physiology of birthing during labour and birth
The role of hypnosis and how this helps labour and birth
The role of fear in the birthing environment and how to eliminate it
Relaxation, massage and visualisation techniques. How to be confident and assertive with your care givers
How to design your birth preferences sheet (birth “plan”)
How to keep calm and in control of the situation
Birth partners will be aware and comfortable with their role
Plus much, much more! Benefits of Hypnobirthing...for you, for baby, for partners...

May shorten the labour
Reduces need for surgical births
Can use the techniques following birth in parenting, to remain calm
Increased rate of calm births
Reduced risk of needing episiotomy
Reduced need for any medication
Increased rate of “turning” breech babies to head down position at 37-40 weeks gestation (81% )
Benefits to baby – calm baby, higher Apgar scores, may feed better, may experience less trauma
Benefits to birth partner, may feel happier with their role, able to empower you and remain calm themselves
I have personally done it during my own births, in hospital and at home. I have personally witnessed many calm and gentle births using Hypnobirthing or self hypnosis as a doula and practicing midwife...I could not promote something that I did not feel was worth it. I am a Mineral Balancing Practitioner and have studied Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis with top experts in the USA and Australia

The Minerals of Milk Production!
The body is an amazing thing, but this most natural process is not always as simple and straightforward as many first time mothers imagine.

☀ Insufficient milk supply in mothers ⮚ #8(Nat mur), #2(Calc phos), #4(Kali mur)

☀ Too much milk ⮚ #10(Nat sulph)

☀ Milk is too salty, or bluish-white ⮚ #8(Nat mur)

☀ Breast hardening ⮚ #8(Nat mur)

☀ Mastitis ⮚ #9 (Nat phos) Concentrate on feeding with one breast at a time. Ensure you are draining each breast as much as possible each feed, aiming to get down into the fatty milk layer to avoid clogging ducts. (Soaking the breast in very warm salted water or having a hot shower before feeding will promote better flow and assist the infant in draining the breast) Avoid excessive pumping as the more milk you remove, the more you produce!
– with heat ⮚ #3(Ferr phos), #9(Nat phos)
– with heavy milk flow ⮚ #10(Nat sulph)
– if any pus is present ⮚ #11(Silica),12(Calc sulph)
– – badly smelling ⮚ #5(Kali phos) (see doctor!)

☀ Bub has Colic ⮚ #7(Mag phos), #2(Calc phos) (for mother to take, as her blood chemistry dictates her milk chemistry. With older babies or for faster results, tablets can be added into a bottle of milk,)
– with excessive winds ⮚ #10(Nat sulph)
– with diarrhea ⮚ #8(Nat mur), #2(Calc phos)

To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week (1-7 August), we are inviting you to share a photograph from your breastfeeding or breastmilk feeding journeys!

This could be a "brelfie" (breastfeeding selfie), a photo of expressing, feeding expressed breastmilk, storing breastmilk, or any image that represents the giving of breastmilk to a baby. We welcome all experiences, whether your journey was recent or many years ago. We'd also love a short quote or reflection about your experience.

If you would like to take part, please send your photo and reflections to our online form by Wednesday 29th July: https://www.uhmb.nhs.uk/news-and-events/our-campaigns/world-breastfeeding-week

By sharing our stories, we can help celebrate, support and normalise breastfeeding and breastmilk feeding in all its forms 🍼
