I hear so many positives about the support people get across the country from these groups- give it a try.

It’s tonight 7-9PM. With no fees and no booking needed, why not come along for a chat and a brew ?

Our sessions are for blokes, 18 years or older, going through tough times. A lot of the men who attend don’t want to lay their troubles on their partners, their families or their mates.
Listening is what we do well. We’re here to help out in a none judgmental environment. Your not alone and your not a burden.
Whether you’re having a bad day, bad month or just need a safe place to talk, our groups are here for you. 💙👌

I can’t believe it’s been 12 months since we relocated to Cumbria. It’s not been an easy 12 months, lots of work to do on the house, but I can honestly say it’s the best move I’ve made. Just looking out of the window at the scenery, listening to the birds and enjoying so many wonderful walks is so good for our wellbeing. So, I was really sad to hear that Cumbria has one of the highest su***de rates, according to a research study by Liverpool University. The findings haven’t yet been released but one of the factors seems to be that we are still not that good at talking about how we feel. Even when surrounded by family and friends, it can still feel easier to say “I’m ok,”’even when we’re not.

Let’s continue to enjoy this beautiful area we live in, but also give ourselves permission to reach out and be open and honest with those who care about us.

Since moving to Cumbria 6 months ago I have really come to appreciate the benefits that being surrounded by beautiful scenery, and simply observing nature can have on our mental wellbeing. I was lucky to be able to continue offering therapy sessions using video straight away and am now delighted to be offering face to face therapy sessions at Stricklandgate House in Kendal. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can be really beneficial for people experiencing mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders and depression, as well as helping people develop coping strategies to deal with stressful lives.
