✨Class Cancellation Notice ✨

Due to the current Red Weather Warning for extreme heat, tomorrow’s Evening Pilates Classes at Abbey Hill United Reformed Church, Kenilworth have been cancelled.

I have sent an email to everyone booked onto the class, but just in case you’ve missed it, I wanted to post here too.

The hall gets very warm at the best of times, and with the temperatures forecast, I don’t feel it would be safe or comfortable to exercise indoors without any ventilation or air conditioning.

Thursday and Friday’s morning classes at Viva Theatre Arts Studio, Kenilworth will run as normal. Although I will be adapt the sessions as needed.

I apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Stay cool, take care, and I look forward to seeing everyone next week😊

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures celebrating today.

I’m also aware that Father’s Day can be bittersweet for many. My own dad passed away in 2018 and never got to see me take the leap and start my own business: Inspire Pilates & Physiotherapy.

I often wonder what he would have thought of my business. Given how shy and quiet I was growing up, he probably wouldn’t believe it! I’d like to think (and hope) he’d be proud🥹

My dad was a farmer who taught me the value of hard work, resilience and treating people the way you’d like to be treated. Those lessons have stayed with me and continue to shape how I run my business today.

As I reflect on the wonderful dad he was, I’m grateful for the values, support and encouragement he gave me along the way.

Whether you’re celebrating, remembering someone you miss, or finding today difficult, I hope you’re able to spend it in a way that feels right for you.

✨Congratulations to everyone who took part in today’s Two Castles 10k.

Thank you to the organisers and the amazing supporters along the route (I even spotted some Inspire members along the way😊)

Also a big shout out to my long suffering running buddy Emma Lawton🥰

Everyone had their own reason for being there today: a PB, a charity challenge, a first 10km, or simply the chance to see what they were capable of.

One of the first questions people ask is, “What time did you do?”

But over the years, my focus has definitely shifted from chasing PBs to enjoying the experience, being part of the event, and appreciating what my body can do.

You don’t have to be the fastest or the best to take part. You just have to start.

And if you’re watching from the sidelines thinking, “I could never do that,” maybe it’s time to ask a different question. Instead of “I could never,” maybe say, “What if I could?”

Whatever your result, whether the day went to plan or not, be proud. You showed up, gave it a go, and that’s worth celebrating✨

✨Saturday Reflection✨

I love this quote. It’s a quote that has really resonated with me this week.

It’s easy to focus on the things that haven’t gone quite as planned. To worry about the class that isn’t full or the business admin that is taking longer than expected.

But when I stop and look around, there is so much to be grateful for.

I love my job and I’m so passionate about the business I am building. Putting people at the heart of what I do has always been important to me. Helping others move better, feel stronger and gain confidence is a privilege I never take for granted.

But it’s about so much more than physical health. Sometimes people need a listening ear, encouragement, or simply the opportunity to connect with others. Being able to support both physical and emotional wellbeing, and create opportunities for social connection, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Sometimes our fears tell us to focus on what’s missing. But when I look at the wonderful people I get to help, the trust they place in me, and the business that is steadily growing, I’m reminded why I started this journey in the first place.

Dreams aren’t always about reaching the destination quickly; sometimes they’re about recognising how far you’ve already come.

Half term has been just what I needed😊

I’m pleased to report that my voice has finally returned!

We’ve been ‘home’ to Wales and enjoyed some family time, fresh air, sunshine and a chance to recharge the batteries.

Now I’m feeling refreshed, ready and looking forward to welcoming everyone back for a new term of Pilates starting from tomorrow.

Whether you’re returning to class or joining me for the first time, I can’t wait to see you.

Followed by refreshments & a friendly chat

Wednesday 3rd June 11am–12pm
Mat Pilates
📍 Viva Theatre Arts Studio, Kenilworth

Both classes are physio-led and designed to help improve balance, mobility, confidence and core strength in a welcoming and supportive environment.
