1 in 3 women experience urinary incontinence in the months after pregnancy. 1 in 12 report symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse.

August is Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Awareness Month, and this month we'll be sharing what every woman deserves to know about her pelvic health.

Here's the part that matters most: common is not the same as normal.

Leaking when you laugh, cough or run. A feeling of heaviness or dragging. Needing to know where every toilet is before you leave the house. These symptoms are incredibly widespread, but they are not something you simply have to put up with.

Pelvic floor dysfunction is treatable, and physiotherapy is recommended as the first-line approach. At Halo, our women's pelvic health physiotherapy is delivered discreetly by specialist female physios, with personalised assessment and structured rehabilitation built around you.

You don't have to just put up with it.

If any of this sounds familiar, call us on 01926 257255 to arrange an appointment or book direct online via the website.

Quality first aid training matters.

When something goes wrong at work, your team doesn't rise to the occasion. They fall back on their training. That's why the provider you choose matters as much as the certificate.

Our courses are accredited, recognised and built around practical application. Clear, supportive and designed to build real confidence, not just tick a box.
Two courses. Two ways in.

Today, the trail leads to a true Kenilworth institution 🦶

If you've ever stood in a supermarket aisle squinting at vitamin labels, Remedy Kenilworth is the antidote. Vitamins and supplements for everything from sleep and gut health to bones, joints and immunity, natural skincare and body care, aromatherapy, and eco refills for your everyday essentials.

The difference is the advice. This shop has been helping Kenilworth live well for over 40 years, and Lydia and Ed know their shelves inside out. Tell them what you're dealing with and they'll point you to the right thing, not just the nearest thing.

And somewhere among those shelves, a mini Golden Sole may be hiding in plain sight.

Spot it, scan it, and you'll discover what it unlocks. No clues from us.

Happy hunting, and any questions, call us on 01926 257255.

Today's clue will make you smile 🦶

Abbey End Dental Practice has been looking after Kenilworth's smiles for decades. A team of seven dentists and two hygienists in the heart of town, and the kind of place where several of the staff have been there for over 25 years. That tells you everything about how it's run.

They're big on prevention too: regular check-ups now to save bigger problems later. A philosophy we share, just from the other end of the body.

And somewhere at 93 Abbey End, a mini Golden Sole may have taken up residence.

Spot it, scan it, and you'll find out what it unlocks. That stays between us and the sole for now.

Happy hunting, and any questions, call us on 01926 257255.

You do not need to be flexible to start Pilates.

It is one of the most common things we hear, usually followed by "I can't even touch my toes."

In this clip, Jenny answers the three questions we get asked most about Pilates:

Do I need to be flexible to start?
Can I do Pilates if I have an injury?
Can Pilates help with long standing back pain?

Clinical Pilates is not about how far you can stretch. It is about how well you move, how you control that movement and how you build strength in a way your body can actually use day to day.

Because it is physio-led, sessions are adapted around you, including if you are working around an injury or years of recurring back pain.

Flexibility is often the result, not the entry requirement.

If you have been putting it off because you think you are not the right sort of person for Pilates, come and have a chat with the team. Call the clinic on 01926 257255 to find out which class or session would suit you.

Today's trail leads somewhere rather calm 🦶

Undo Studio is Kenilworth's home for slowing down and feeling better. Yoga, Pilates, breathwork and meditation in the studio, alongside a treatment room where resident therapist Jo brings over ten years of clinical experience to everything from deep tissue massage and injury rehab to advanced skin treatments.

It's a rare mix: proper musculoskeletal knowledge and genuine wellness under one roof. Our kind of place.

And somewhere in there, between the calm and the candles, a mini Golden Sole may be quietly waiting.

Find it, scan it, and all will be revealed. Until then, our lips are sealed.

Happy hunting, and any questions, give us a call on 01926 257255.

The hunt begins. First stop: The Square 🦶

If you haven't been into Enhanced Mobility yet, it's worth knowing they're there. A family-run team right in the heart of Kenilworth, helping people across Warwickshire stay independent and on the move, from mobility scooters and riser recliners to walking aids and stairlifts.

What we like most is they take time to listen before recommending anything, and if getting to the showroom is difficult, they'll come to you with an obligation-free home visit. That's a genuinely caring local service.

And somewhere inside their showroom, a mini Golden Sole may be hiding.

Find it, scan it, and you'll discover what it unlocks. We're saying nothing.

You'll find them at 10 The Square, Monday to Saturday. Happy hunting, and any questions, call us on 01926 257255.

The mystery, revealed. Sort of 🦶

Meet the Golden Sole. This one, the big one, lives here at HALO with Sam, our Head of Podiatry.

But his little ones have gone wandering. Some more mini golden soles are now framed and hiding inside businesses around Kenilworth, sitting in plain sight, waiting to be spotted.

Find one, scan it, and you'll discover exactly what it unlocks.

From tomorrow, we'll point you towards where you might find one. Eyes open, Kenilworth.

Any questions, call us on 01926 257255.

The water looks inviting. It's still cold enough to be dangerous.

As the UK heads into its fourth heatwave of the year, drowning deaths are rising, and a heartbreaking number of them are children. The reason is often cold water shock. Even on a 30 degree day, open water can sit below 15 degrees, and sudden immersion causes gasping, rapid breathing and a temporary loss of muscle control. It can overwhelm even confident swimmers in seconds.

This week's Wellness Wednesday is a simple one. Enter the water gradually. If you fall in, lean back and float until the shock passes. Avoid alcohol in and around water. And keep children under constant, active supervision, because most child drownings happen when no adult is watching.

Share this with another parent before the weekend. If you have questions about anything in this week's post, the team is on 01926 257255.
