I’m delighted to be a speaker at the No Ordinary Shift Emergency Care Conference this year.
This conference was originally created to celebrate the Emergency Care Forum’s 50th anniversary in 2022, and several board members are speaking at this year’s conference. We’ll be discussing big issues like corridor care, violence and incivility, as well as practical how-to sessions, leadership, and best practices.
The No Ordinary Shift conference is a great place to decompress with other people who get what you do. In previous conferences, we’ve seen nurses come together, share their experiences and wisdom and support each other. We watched people re-energise, laugh and connect across the event, leaving inspired, motivated and often with new emergency care friends.
Professor Lynda Holt, who hosts the event, is a former Chair of the ECF, and I know she is keen to create a space that supports emergency nurses not just with a strong emergency care programme, but also with the time and tools to look after themselves and each other.
We’d love to see you at the conference. It’s great to have that informal space to meet emergency members, and I know you will get just what you need from the conference. You can see the outline programme here:

See you there ❤️
