A couple of weeks ago the residents planned an Afternoon Tea with the view to invite family and friends to join them πŸ’œ We discussed all of their favourite Afternoon Tea treats and handed the list to the kitchen β˜•οΈπŸ°This afternoon Christine waved her magic wooden spoon and lovingly created all of our favourites. This afternoon our Dining Room was buzzing with family members who joined their loved ones to enjoy all of the goodies. It was an absolute pleasure to see 😍

One of our lovely relatives gifted us some tomato plants 🌱 We have let them grow a little and today our Jean (AKA Jeany Greenfingers) used her expertise to gently repot them using gravel in the bottom to aide drainage and positioning training sticks to support the plants. We cant wait to see tomatoes appear. πŸ…

Manor Farm – Progress Update

6 months into the project and with summer on its way, we are making significant progress on the first easyResidences care home, Manor Farm in Kessingland.

The team at have brick and blockwork progressing up to 3 metres, in preparation for the installation of the first-floor planks. At ground floor level the internal room layouts are now clearly visible, with both the internal walls and external brick and blockwork substantially completed. The first phase of groundworks has been finished, marking another key milestone.

Looking ahead to the summer period, over the next 8–10 weeks the team will be focused on installing the first-floor planks, erecting the structural steel frame, and continuing the masonry works up to roof plate level.

Members of the Horizon Construction team recently visited the existing KRG HealthCare Manor Farm Care Home to meet with residents, and provide an update on the project's progress. It was a fantastic opportunity to share the development journey and answer their questions about the exciting changes taking place.

It is wonderful for easyResidences and our development partner to see the progress on site, it's really starting to look like a building now.

A collection of photos from this busy week in June 🌼 Bob & Mike went to the Seagull Theatre for a sing-a-long after using their skills to build battery powered circuits to create lights, sounds and moving parts. We’ve been out for coffee and cake and been reminiscing using a memory case on loan from Suffolk Libraries. National Cheese day was Thursday and we made cheese straws… followed by a cheesy quiz! πŸ˜€ but there are no photos as we ate them too quick!
