🌟 Switch Up September 2026 🌟

We're excited to launch Switch Up September, a new campaign helping children, young people and families to eat well, scroll less and move more every day.

Children and young people can enter our "Snap Your Happy Place" Photography Competition, showcasing a place that makes them feel happy, with prizes available in both age categories.

Schools can get involved in the Switch Up September School Competition, choosing from a range of fun healthy lifestyle challenges, with prizes available across multiple participation tiers.

Schools can register their interest now and will receive their activity tracker at the end of August, ready for the new academic year.

⭐Congratulations to Irthlingborough Nursery and Infant School⭐

Their project focused on healthy eating and its link to oral health, helping children and families understand how positive food choices can support healthy teeth, overall wellbeing, and lifelong healthy habits. The project highlighted the importance of establishing these habits early in life to give children the best possible start.

A special shoutout to Rachel, whose hard work and commitment has guided the school on an incredible journey from Bronze to Silver and now Gold.

✨🌱 Congratulations to Little Stanion Primary School! 🌱✨

We are delighted to recognise Little Stanion Primary School on achieving their Healthy Schools Silver Award.

This achievement reflects the school's commitment to promoting healthy choices, environmental sustainability and positive wellbeing across the whole school community.

A particular highlight of the school's work has been its focus on reducing food waste and helping pupils understand the connection between sustainability, healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. Through the involvement of the School Council, Junior Leadership Team and Green Team Helpers, pupils have played an active role in promoting environmental responsibility and encouraging positive change across the school.

The school has successfully increased opportunities for pupils to engage with nature through the development of vegetable beds, sustainability projects, wellbeing activities and environmental awareness campaigns. These initiatives have helped pupils gain a greater understanding of where food comes from, the importance of reducing waste, and how caring for the environment can support both physical and mental wellbeing.

A special mention goes to Rhea, whose dedication and enthusiasm have been instrumental in leading this work and supporting the school to achieve such positive outcomes.

✨ Congratulations to Mawsley Community Primary School✨

We are delighted to recognise Mawsley CP School on achieving their Healthy Schools Silver Award.

This achievement reflects the school's commitment to promoting healthy eating and helping pupils develop positive habits that support their health, wellbeing and learning.

A particular highlight of the school's work has been the Nutritional Snacking, which focused on encouraging healthier break-time snack choices amongst Key Stage 2 pupils. Through pupil-led monitoring, parent engagement, healthy eating assemblies and the much-loved Fruit Fridays initiative, pupils have been introduced to a wider variety of nutritious foods and have developed a greater understanding of the benefits of healthy eating.

The impact of the project has been impressive, with a significant reduction in high-sugar and highly processed snacks being brought into school, alongside a substantial increase in pupils choosing healthier options such as fruit, vegetables and protein-based snacks. The project has also helped to create enthusiasm and curiosity around trying new foods, with pupils actively exploring different fruits and sharing their discoveries with one another.

A special mention goes to Penny Walker for her dedication and leadership in driving this initiative and supporting the school to achieve such positive outcomes.

⭐ Congratulations to Wrenn on achieving the Healthy Schools Silver Award! ⭐

As part of their award journey, the school delivered an excellent project focused on staff mental health and wellbeing. They organised workshops, training, support groups, created a dedicated outdoor wellbeing space, and increased awareness of available support. The project has helped create a healthier and more supportive environment for the whole school community, recognising that when staff feel valued, supported, and able to look after their own wellbeing, they are better equipped to support pupils, foster positive relationships, and create a thriving learning environment.

A special thank you goes to Laura Cooper and Laura Rowan, whose dedication and enthusiasm have been instrumental in helping the school achieve this award.
