🌈 Social Stories Can Make a Huge Difference 🌈

Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand just how powerful social stories can be for helping children feel safe, prepared, understood, and confident.

Whether your child struggles with anxiety, autism, ADHD, communication differences, transitions, change, appointments, friendships, school routines, or simply understanding what’s happening around them, a personalised social story can help make the world feel a little more predictable and a lot less overwhelming. 💛

Every child is unique, which is why the social stories I create are tailored specifically to your child, their needs, communication style, interests, and what works best for them.

Over the coming days, I’ll be sharing some examples so you can see exactly what these can look like and how they can support children across home, school, and everyday life.

✨ If you’d like more information
✨ If you have questions
✨ Or if you think a personalised social story could help your child

Please send me a message and I’d be more than happy to chat.

💜 No pressure.
💜 No judgement.
💜 Just support.

💜 REGULATED VS UNREGULATED 💜

One of the most important things I’ve learned, both personally and through supporting neurodivergent adults, children and families, is that behaviour is communication.

When we understand what regulation and dysregulation actually look like, we can begin responding with support instead of shame, curiosity instead of judgement, and connection instead of punishment.

The truth is that none of us are regulated all of the time.

Not adults.
Not children.

We all have moments when our nervous systems become overwhelmed.

The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is recognising the signs earlier and knowing what support helps.

I’d love to hear from you ⬇️

💭 What are some early signs that tell you or your child are becoming unregulated?

Maybe it’s becoming quieter than usual…
Maybe it’s irritability, anxiety, sensory overwhelm, restlessness, tears, withdrawing, or needing reassurance.

Your experience might help another person feel seen and understood today. 💜

If you’re struggling with emotional regulation, overwhelm, anxiety, neurodivergence, school difficulties, EHCPs or simply don’t know where to start, please know you don’t have to navigate it alone.

💜 COMMUNITY SHOULD NEVER BE A LUXURY 💜

When I launched the Spectrum Together Community, my goal was always to create a safe and supportive space for neurodivergent adults, children, and families to connect, support one another, and feel less alone while navigating the many aspects of neurodivergence.

And that part hasn’t changed.

What has changed is my belief that nobody should have to pay just to access a community that could genuinely help them.

So while I’ll still continue offering my paid services through Spectrum Together, I’ve decided that the Spectrum Together Community itself will now be completely FREE to join.

This community is for:
✨ Neurodivergent adults
✨ Parents and families
✨ Sharing advice and support
✨ Celebrating little wins
✨ Feeling understood and accepted
✨ Building each other up in a safe space

Whether you’re navigating autism, ADHD, sensory challenges, burnout, school struggles, late diagnosis, or everyday life — you do not have to do it alone.

There are a few simple group rules to help keep the space safe and supportive for everyone, but aside from that, everybody is welcome 💜

If you’d like to join the FREE Spectrum Together Community, comment “COMMUNITY” below and I’ll send you the link 🫶

Sometimes the strongest thing a SEND parent can do is admit that they are exhausted.

I’ve been quieter on social media recently because behind the scenes, I’ve been fighting for my daughter and trying to hold everything together for my children.

The truth is, our education system is failing so many neurodivergent children and their families. Too many children are being judged on labels instead of abilities, and too many parents are left carrying the emotional weight of battles we never asked for.

My daughter is kind, intelligent, empathetic and wants to become a paramedic one day — and I know she will achieve incredible things. But right now, like so many SEND children, she is being made to feel like she doesn’t fit a system that was never designed for her in the first place.

This video comes from a place of hurt, frustration, love and pure determination to keep fighting — not just for my own children, but for every family navigating this broken system.

To every parent feeling mentally and emotionally drained right now:
I see you.
You are not failing.
You are fighting battles most people will never truly understand.

And to our neurodivergent children:
You are NOT broken. ❤️

No parent or carer should have to fight these battles alone. 💛

Behind every EOTAS journey is a family trying to protect a child who deserves to feel safe, understood, supported, and accepted for exactly who they are.

I know firsthand how overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally exhausting this path can feel — not just professionally, but personally too. That’s exactly why I created Spectrum Together.

If you are struggling to navigate EOTAS, SEND support, school-based anxiety, unmet needs, or simply need someone who truly understands, please know I am here for you.

✨ Support
✨ Guidance
✨ Advocacy
✨ Understanding
✨ A safe space without judgement

Please feel free to message me or leave a comment if you need support or have questions. I’d be more than happy to help guide you and your child in the right direction.

You do not have to do this journey alone. 💛

Have you been told your child “won’t qualify” for an EHCP? 💭

Please don’t give up seeking the support your child deserves.

I know how overwhelming the EHCP process can feel because I’ve been there myself. The paperwork, meetings, uncertainty and constant advocating can feel exhausting when you’re trying to navigate it alone.

That’s exactly why I created Spectrum Together 💛

I now support parents and families through the EHCP process — helping you understand each step, complete paperwork, communicate with professionals and advocate for your child’s needs with confidence.

I’ve also created a FREE neurodivergent-friendly EHCP guide to help make the process clearer, calmer and easier to understand.

✨ Step-by-step guidance
✨ Neurodivergent-friendly information
✨ Support you can trust
✨ A space where you and your child feel seen, heard and supported

If you’d like a free copy of the guide or would like support with an EHCP application, please send me a message — I’m here to help 💌
