🍂 September at Orchard House is all about friendship, familiar comforts and finding new reasons to smile. 💜

As summer gently gives way to autumn, our September calendar brings plenty of opportunities to connect, create and make memories together.

There are pub trips and garden tea parties, baking afternoons, pampering, music, crafts and reminiscence — alongside some extra-special moments including our ZooLab visit, Harvest Festival, Roald Dahl Day and International Literacy Day. 🦎📚🎶

But activities at Orchard House are about much more than filling a calendar. A singalong can unlock a memory, a garden walk can start a conversation, and a simple game can become an afternoon filled with laughter and friendship.

🌟 Employee of the Month – August 2026 🌟

This month, we're delighted to announce Aysha Masoud, Care Assistant, as our Employee of the Month! 💚👏

Aysha may be one of the quieter members of the Orchard House team, but somehow, the moment somebody says, “Could someone just give me a hand?”… Aysha seems to magically appear! 😄

Whether it’s supporting a resident, stepping in to help a colleague, or simply noticing something that needs doing, she is always willing to lend a hand – usually without any fuss or expectation of recognition.

Her calm and caring nature is a real reassurance to our residents, and her hardworking, dependable approach makes her a much-valued member of the team. Aysha demonstrates our values of Compassion • Dignity • Respect • Teamwork through the little things she does every day – and those little things make a very big difference.

Thank you, Aysha, for quietly getting on with being brilliant and for always being there when residents and colleagues need you. 🏆

We’re delighted to be making our Afternoon Tea with a Manager a regular monthly occasion at Orchard House.

Join us on the first Friday of every month, from 2.30pm–3.30pm, for a relaxed cup of tea, a slice of cake and the opportunity to meet our team.

Whether you’re a resident, relative, friend, member of the local community, considering care for a loved one, or simply curious to learn more about life at Orchard House, you’ll be very welcome.

There’s no formal agenda — just a friendly opportunity to chat, ask questions, get to know the team and enjoy a little time together.
