We haven’t let the heat stop us from enjoying some activities the past few days, yesterday a group of our lady’s did a chair yoga session, and today we had a mini sports day, including skittles and darts. We made sure everyone had plenty of breaks to cool off and hydrate

Smoothies are a great way of staying hydrated and getting lots of goodness (and a bit of chocolate) last week some of our residence made their own, with bananas, blueberry’s, raspberry’s, strawberry’s and other yummy treats. What do you like to put in yours?

This week we had a lovely morning flower arranging to change over our lounge displays, Sure you will agree our residence did a wonderful job of keeping our dinning area looking beautiful 💐🌸🌻🌼

School holidays mean sometimes activity co-coordinators have some assistants to plan activities. Myla and Maevi helped build some Crazy golf holes, for table top golf last week. All the residents loved doing something new and practicing their aim

We love a good pamper here at Westley court, wether that is having a manicure and a hand massage, a little spa session, or our monthly visits from our lovely hairdresser, who always gets everyone looking and feeling their best 💕💇‍♀️💈

We always try and plan a good variety of activities here at Westley Court and love it when our residence get involved in making suggestions… last week we had some requests for soup making! We had fun both making and eating it and it’s definitely something we will do again

Last week we had a visit from the lovely Debbie, she’s brilliant at getting everyone singing and dancing along and it’s always a favourite activity with our residence

That's why we're proud to be launching our new Senior Development Programme this July.

Developed in-house, the programme has been created to support our Senior Carers as they continue to build their skills, confidence and leadership within our homes. We know that investing in our people is one of the most important investments we can make, because when our teams grow, the quality of care we provide grows with them.

Every day, our Senior Carers make a real difference to the lives of residents, families and colleagues. This programme is our way of recognising that contribution and supporting the next stage of their professional development.

We're excited to see the journey ahead and proud to continue creating opportunities for our teams to learn, progress and thrive.
