Well done to the staff at Kiddywinks Day Nursery in Kidderminster for completing their supervised tooth brushing training today!🎉

They will be starting the programme very soon.

Supervised tooth brushing is an evidence based programme in selected schools and nurseries across Worcestershire. It helps children brush their teeth at nursery or school, which reduces tooth decay😁

A huge congratulations to our wonderful baby room staff, Frankie and Stacey! 💛

They’ve had a particularly challenging few weeks welcoming lots of lovely new babies into the setting, and they have handled it with such love, care, and enthusiasm every single day.

Their hearts are truly enormous, and they have worked incredibly hard to ensure our newest little ones have felt safe, secure, and happy in their new environment. The patience, comfort, and reassurance they’ve provided to both babies and families has been amazing to see.

We are so proud of everything they do and couldn’t think of two more deserving people for this month’s recognition. Thank you both for always going above and beyond! ✨

A little snippet of May at nursery 🌸☀️

This month we have been very busy exploring and learning all about new life and the life cycles of animals and plants 🐣🌱 The children have loved discovering how things grow and change through lots of hands-on activities and discussions.

We’ve also made the most of the gorgeous sunshine with plenty of outdoor play and outdoor learning opportunities ☀️ From water play and messy play to mark making and practicing our fine motor skills, every day has been filled with fun, creativity and exploration!

Goodbye to our beautiful chicks 🐥💛

Yesterday the children enjoyed some gentle playtime, showing such kindness and care during their final moments together. It’s been such a wonderful experience watching the chicks grow and seeing the children’s excitement, curiosity, and nurturing skills blossom along the way.

Our chicks have now gone off to their forever homes, and while we’ll miss them, we’re so happy they’ll continue to be loved and cared for.

A truly special journey we’ll all remember! 🌼✨

Happy Easter to all our wonderful families 🐣🌸

We hope you’re all enjoying a lovely Easter bank holiday weekend!

Just a little update on our chicks… they are doing really well, growing stronger each day and have such lovely, friendly personalities 💛 They absolutely love interaction and are becoming more confident every day!

They are being very well looked after, and will be returning to nursery on Tuesday ready to see all the children again.

We can’t wait for the children to continue observing, handling and caring for them – it’s been such a special experience for everyone 🐥

🌼 Chick Update! 🌼

Our little hatchlings have been busy exploring their new surroundings today 🐣✨

They’ve been enjoying lots of gentle interactions, having their first tastes of food, and showing off their curious little personalities already! 💛

The children are loving being part of such a special experience - watching new life grow right before their eyes is truly magical 🌱🐥

We can’t wait to see how they continue to develop over the next few days… they are now home with our manager for the Easter weekend so we’ll be letting you know how they are getting on! The chicks will be back at nursery on Tuesday for another few days before they go to their forever homes! 💛

We are so proud to celebrate our Employee of the Month - Steph! 🌟

Steph is an incredible practitioner who brings so much creativity, passion, and dedication to everything she does. Her ideas for activities are always inspiring, and she consistently goes above and beyond for both our children and the whole team!

Since recently moving her pre-school room, Steph has transformed her space into something truly beautiful – creating a warm, engaging environment for the children to learn and thrive in. She even spends time outside of work sourcing new resources to make our setting even better, which just shows her commitment and care.

Steph is a true team player, always supporting others and working so hard every single day. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team 💛

Our lovely Steph arrived bright and early this morning to the most exciting surprise… 5 beautiful little chicks have hatched! 🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣

We are absolutely delighted and the children are going to love watching them grow and learn all about the life cycle. It’s such a special, hands-on experience for everyone 💛

They’re currently staying cosy in their brooder and doing really well!

We’ll keep you all updated with their progress over the next few days… 👀🐥

With the Easter bank holiday weekend, Justine our manager, will be taking the chicks home to take care of them, then they’ll be back in nursery next week! 🥰

We had a wonderful visit from a group of adorable lambs at nursery this week, kindly brought in by one of our lovely parents 🐑💛

The children had such a special morning helping to prepare the lambs’ milk, feeding them, and enjoying lots of gentle playtime and cuddles. It was a truly memorable hands-on experience that brought so much joy to everyone involved!

A huge thank you again for making this possible - we are so grateful 🫶

And the excitement doesn’t stop there… next week we have another special event to look forward to… baby chicks will be arriving! 🐥✨
