After more than 32 years of dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment at Killamarsh Medical Practice, the time has come for Susan Goodwin to hang up her NHS lanyard and begin her well-earned retirement.

Sue has been far more than a colleague — she has been the heart of so many days at KMP. Her smile, infectious laughter, and caring nature have brightened the lives of everyone around her, from staff to patients alike. Over the years, she has been a constant source of kindness, support, and friendship, leaving a lasting impression on all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

While retirement marks the end of an incredible chapter, Sue’s impact and memories will remain part of KMP for years to come. She will be deeply missed by colleagues and patients alike, but we couldn’t be happier for her as she begins this new journey.

Happy Retirement Sue — with love and gratitude from all your friends at KMP.

Type 2 Diabetes awareness week is 25th-31st May
Are you at risk of developing type 2 diabetes?
This week is Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week (25-31 May). Check your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, by using the Diabetes UK Know Your Risk tool.

You can reduce your risk by eating a healthy, balanced diet, maintaining a healthy weight and keeping physically active. People living with diabetes face a higher risk of heart disease, stroke, nerve damage, foot problems, vision loss and kidney problems. Some groups are at higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes, including people of South Asian or Black ethnicity, people who are overweight or living with obesity, people with a family history of type 2 diabetes and women with a history of gestational diabetes.

It’s that time of year again when we ask carers to share their feedback on the support they’ve received from Derbyshire All Age Carers Support Service. Your views help us improve our services and make sure we’re offering support that is both appropriate and genuinely reflects what carers feel is needed. Feedback is incredibly important to us, as it helps shape how we develop our service and ensures that carers’ voices remain at the heart of everything we do.

All feedback will be included in our 2025/2026 Annual Report.
