Thistle Equine Vets Our equine clinic, based in Kilmarnock, has a team of dedicated, exclusively equine clinicians. We also accept referrals from other veterinary surgeons.

We provide first opinion and emergency services to clients and their equines in Ayrshire, Greater Glasgow and Renfrewshire. For cases requiring further investigation or treatment we have in-patient stabling, with competent caring nurses and yard staff.

Did you know our vets can do Island Visits?

Nicky and Emma spent the day on the beautiful Isle of Bute yesterday, taking the equipment they needed for X Rays and ultrasound of a gorgeous thoroughbred.

**MEET THE TEAM TUESDAY**

Victoria is a Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse. She started her career in an equine hospital in 2003. Some highlights of her nursing career include being a foal nurse in Australia, a veterinary nurse volunteer for the London Olympic Games in 2012 and more recently contributing to the textbook of Equine Veterinary Nursing.

Victoria works alongside John Marshall as part of Thistle Equine Referrals. In this role Victoria can be found trotting horses for lameness evaluation, theatre nursing, taking care of the inpatients, organising the diary and liasing with clients. A very long list but of course her favourite thing is cuddling horses!

Outside of work, Victoria can be found trying to tire out her 2 spaniels on long walks or doing agility.

This handsome boy is Digby. He is on trial with Police Scotland and came into Brown Egg Farm for X-Rays to get the all clear.

He was super chilled and so well behaved. All X-Rays taken without sedation. He is going to make a fabulous police horse ❤️

❤️ MEET THE TEAM TUESDAY ❤️

Marion trained in Small Animal vet nursing as a Registered Veterinary Nurse when she first joined MBM in 1995. She especially enjoyed equine patients and went on to further her education by gaining her Equine Veterinary Nursing qualification.

She is now our Head Nurse at Thistle Equine so as well as looking after patients, her title means that she pretty much looks after the whole team!! How lucky are we, that she is still with us after 31 years!!

She has a lovely way of helping patients, clients and colleagues alike and is a joy to have in the practice.

You might see Marion around the local show venues with her twin girls and their ponies or with her own homebred horses.
