One thing I see a lot is people assuming their body is “fine” because they drink water, eat relatively well and open their bowels every day.
But the body is much more complex and connected than that.
You can still experience a sluggish system even when things look healthy on paper.
A lot of the clients I see are:
* functioning well
* going to the gym
* eating balanced meals
* staying hydrated
…but also:
* waking with anxiety for no obvious reason
* struggling with sleep
* feeling more bloated as the day goes on
* holding puffiness through the face, abdomen or underarms
* feeling tight or restricted through the ribs and diaphragm
These things don’t exist separately.
The nervous system, digestion, breathing mechanics, fascia and lymphatic system all influence each other constantly.
Sometimes the issue isn’t “drink more water” or “go to the toilet more.”
Sometimes the body simply isn’t moving and regulating as efficiently as it could because there’s tension, restriction and congestion through the system.
During this treatment I chose to work using hands only, without tools, because the body felt more reactive and inflamed in certain areas. Instead of forcing a stronger response, I focused on slowing the system down, supporting drainage gently and creating more space through the diaphragm, abdomen and upper drainage pathways first.
This is exactly why I don’t believe in a cookie cutter routine.
Every treatment is adapted to what I’m seeing and feeling in the body that day.
The before and after here is a good example of what can happen when the body is given the right support and space to regulate properly.
