At the beginning of each month, we introduce a member of the A J Coggles Family Funeral Directors team, giving you the opportunity to get to know the compassionate people who support families every day with care, kindness, and understanding.

This month, we’re delighted to introduce Rachel Ash.

Rachel is one of the newest members of our team, and we’re so pleased to have her with us. She has a heart of gold, a wonderfully calm nature. Rachel’s kindness and compassion shine through in everything she does. Her caring approach brings comfort to the families we support, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have her as part of the A J Coggles family.

Following the recent events reported in Hull, many families have understandably been asking what standards they should expect from a funeral director. Our thoughts remain with all those affected.

At A.J. Coggles Family Funeral Directors, we have been caring for families across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire since 1851. We understand that placing a loved one into our care is an act of great trust, and every person is treated with the dignity, compassion, and respect we would expect for our own family.

As proud members of SAIF (the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors), we are voluntarily regulated under the UK Funeral Director Code. Our funeral homes, mortuary facilities, and standards of care are independently inspected, and families also have access to an independent complaints and redress service.

We hope this provides reassurance and peace of mind when choosing us as your funeral director. Thank you to the generations of families who have placed their trust in us. It is a privilege to serve our community, and we remain committed to providing the compassionate, personal, and professional care that has been at the heart of our family business since 1851.

Could I ask everyone for some help at this very difficult time and in the Summer traffic.

Paying Our Respects.

If you see a hearse, could you stop, stand for a moment as it passes, perhaps take off your cap, and bow your head?

We wondered if we could revive an old tradition. This would show people that their loss is noticed and shared by us all.

It would mean the world to families in a time of sadness.

Please if you see a hearse at a junction please stop and allow some of the following cars to also exit the junction. On most cases, this is the family behind following the hearse.

It only makes your Journey slightly longer but means the world to families in such difficult times. Thank you 🙏🏼

We are incredibly proud to receive this RNLI Lifeboats Employer Certificate of Thanks, recognising AJ Coggles’ support for David Coggles and Roger Smith, volunteer crew members at Hunstanton RNLI Lifeboat Station.

Supporting our team both in and out of the workplace is something we truly value, and we’re honoured to play a small part in enabling David and Roger to answer the call when lives are at risk.

The dedication, training and commitment shown by RNLI volunteers is nothing short of inspiring. Thank you to the RNLI for this recognition, and to every volunteer who gives their time to help keep our coastline safe.

The same little robin seems to visit every day. 🥰❤️

They say robins bring hope, love, and a reminder that those we have sadly lost, are never truly far away.

Whether it’s just a curious little bird or something more, this tiny visitor always makes me smile.
