Same angle. Same chin position. No filters. Just time.

The photo on the left was taken when I started noticing my skin was looking thinner, with some volume loss and a little loose skin around the sides of my mouth.

I treated myself with PDO mono threads to help stimulate collagen, along with 0.5ml of dermal filler to restore subtle volume. I also refreshed my pyriform fossa, cheeks and marionette lines. For context, I hadn’t used dermal filler to restore facial volume for almost 4 years before this.

The photo on the right is a few months later. PDO mono threads aren’t an instant treatment they work gradually by encouraging your body to produce collagen but I think the difference speaks for itself.

Please note my face and chin are at the same angle in both photos, so you can see the change as accurately as possible.

Sometimes it’s not about making the nose smaller… it’s about creating better facial balance.

This lovely client felt her nose stood out because she has such delicate facial features. Rather than treating the nose, we focused on restoring harmony to her profile.

By adding subtle support to the chin, along with 0.5ml of lip filler, the apples of the cheeks and the pyriform fossa, we’ve brought the lower face into better proportion with the nose. The result? A beautifully balanced side profile where the nose appears less prominent, without ever touching it.

It’s amazing how small, strategic tweaks can make such a big difference. Sometimes the best treatment isn’t where you think it is.

Your morning SPF is a great start… but it doesn’t last all day.

If you applied your sunscreen at 7am, don’t assume you’re still protected hours later. Throughout the day, sunscreen naturally wears away through touching your face and everyday life.

Reapplying your SPF during the day is one of the simplest things you can do to help protect your skin and reduce the signs of premature ageing.

Just sharing what works for me and why I never rely on my morning application alone.

My daily SPF routine

I get asked all the time what I use to protect my skin, so I thought I’d share what works for me.

I’m not a skincare expert I just enjoy sharing my own routine in the hope that it helps someone else.

One thing I do know is that tinted makeup with SPF isn’t enough to rely on for your daily sun protection. To get the SPF stated on the packaging, you’d need to apply far more makeup than most of us ever would!

That’s why I always apply a dedicated SPF 50 first. If you prefer a tinted product, look for a tinted mineral SPF 50 that’s designed to be your sunscreen, rather than relying on foundation or tinted moisturiser with SPF.

This is simply what works for me, and hopefully it helps if you’ve been wondering about your own routine.

One thing that’s really important to point out is that these results are not due to weight loss.

In fact, my client has actually gained 2 kg since her first treatment with me. Despite this, you can clearly see the improvement in skin tightening and facial definition.

Skin boosters and microneedling are fantastic treatments but they cannot replace lost volume.

They improve hydration, skin quality, collagen production and overall texture, but they won’t restore the fat pads and facial structure we naturally lose with age.

If you’re noticing sagging or a loss of facial definition, improving the skin alone isn’t always enough. Sometimes restoring volume is the missing piece.

The best results come from treating the right concern with the right treatment.
