HULL FAIR 🎢🎡🎠

It’s that time of year again! Rides, food, bright lights and lots of fun for all the family.
VEMT will again be present in and around the fair offering outreach support from Friday 10th — Saturday 18th October.

If you, or any young people you know are attending Hull Fair and have any worries or concerns, then you can ask to speak to our staff by going to the Lost Children Point or St John's Ambulance point and ask to speak to our staff members. You can also speak to any police officer and they will help you make contact with us.

Our staff are available if you're lost, feeling worried or unsafe. Our staff are there to help, even if you are just wanting someone to talk to, they will help you be reunited with friends and family or support you to a place of safety.

We've put together some top tips to keep yourself safe:

📱Make sure your phone is fully charged before leaving home.
🧥Consider wearing clothes/coats that have zipped pockets to keep your phone and money safe.
💍Leave any valuables at home and only take what you need.
👫Agree with your friends a safe place to meet if you get separated (a tall ride maybe as it can be seen from far away)
📞If you do not know your parents/carers number off by heart, write it down on some paper in your pocket or put into a friend’s phone too.
⌚️Agree with parent/ carer a time to return home, and if you going to be late then let them know.
📍Make sure you are familiar with the locations of St John's Ambulance, lost/found children point and Police

HULL FAIR WEEK!

Saturday marked the end of Hull Fair for 2024. Thousands of people attended over the week and enjoyed themselves with the lights and smells.

The VEMT Team were in attendance all week offering support to our colleagues and would like to share our gratitude. We had a great week supporting and networking with our colleagues from Cornerhouse (Yorkshire), Tigers Trust, Humberside Police and Antisocial Behaviour Teams.

We would like to thank all our staff and the staff from all the above services who offered their time and their commitment to offer support for all our children who were attending the Fair which meant for a safe week for our young people.

Thank you and we look forward to 2025!

SAFER HULL PARAGON HUB

Alongside our staff attending Hull Fair, tonight we have VEMT and ReachOut Staff manning the Safer Hull Paragon Hub.

VEMT Staff will present until 6pm and ReachOut Staff will be present until 8pm.

The Hub is situated within Hull Paragon Station opposite the bus stands and is there for any young people if they are feeling worried, lost or need someone to talk too, just knock on the door and there will be a friendly face waiting.

Hull Fair Week!

The VEMT Team are at the fair all week supporting our colleagues within the Police and Local Outreach Teams!

We have also been working alongside East Riding staff and St John’s ambulance
to help provide support for young people visiting during the week.

If you or any young people you know have any concerns then our staff are available, all you need to do is ask for our team through St John’s at the Welfare buildings.
