As the Seasons Change… How Are You Feeling? 🍂
September can feel like a fresh, energising chapter for some - the days get shorter, routines shift, and there’s that slow move from the summer bustle into the autumn calm. However for others, it can feel unsettling or low, and both are completely normal and valid.
Here are a few small ways to look after yourself as we head into the new season:
🍂 Get as much daylight as you can - try a short walk, or sit by a window when you can.
🍂 Try to stick to gentle routines - they give structure when everything else feels like it’s moving.
🍂 Allow rest without guilt, especially if you feel the dip as nights draw in.
🍂Stay connected - don’t let social ties slip as summer ends.
🍂Notice your mood - if low feelings linger, it could be a sign to reach out for support.
Change can feel big, even when it happens every year. If you’re finding it harder than usual, you’re not alone and there is help available.
We’re here to support you, whether that’s through free NHS Talking Therapies or flexible private sessions.
